Ten More Baptized in South Andros
Between October 7 and 27, 2001, our laymen conducted an outreach programme called "Present Truth" Bible seminar in the old schoolroom of Long Bay Cays, South Andros. The speakers were Evangelists Norwood R. Rahming, Charles Miller, Amos Flowers, Victor Miller and Elgin Rahming. Visitors were bused in from as far south as Mars Bay.
Twenty-first-century computer imaging was prominently used. Night after night the seminar choir, under the direction of Sisters Debbie Perriot, Ena Miller and Bro. Joseph Johnson, blessed and inspired the audience with melodious hymns.
At the end of the meetings, 10 souls were baptized to the honour and glory of God. This brings to 28 the number of persons
who have so far been baptized in South Andros this year. Several persons have joined the baptismal classes in New Macedonia,
Kemp's Bay Church and Driggs Hill Branch Sabbath Schools. To God be the Glory! - K. O. Boateng, District Pastor

Francophone Church to be Dedicated
After many years of having to relocate, the Francophone SDA Church will on November 25, 2001, dedicate its edifice to the honour and glory of God. Proud Pastor Edward St. Fleur says that in the struggle to complete the structure, he, like many of his Haitian brethren before and during his pastorate, questioned, "How can we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?"
Having faced and overcome many difficulties, the Francophone Church today is considered the "Mother Church" of the Haitian brethren. Within the last two years, Elder Jeremiah Duncombe pastored the Francophone Church on Balfour Avenue and Exuma Street. Later, Pastor Edward St. Fleur, then a ministerial intern, launched out in the Carmichael Road and Fox Hill areas, preaching the Three Angels' message to his displaced brothers and sisters. As a result of this thrust, the Bethel SDA Church was formed on Carmichael Road and the Ebenezer Church in Fox Hill.
Encouraged by what has taken place at the Francophone Church, the Bethel and Ebenezer Churches are poised to go forward and build their edifices as soon as they can acquire land.
The dedication service will be aired on ZNS Radio 1240 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Guest speaker will be Dr. Eli Henri,
vice-president of the General Conference of the Inter-American Division. On behalf of our Haitian brethren, I solicit your
prayerful support and presence as they dedicate to the glory of God. -Mary-Ellen Knott
