ANNUAL YOUTH MARCH AND RALLY

The National Youth March and Rally was again a huge success this year. The event saw hundreds of young people taking to the streets under the theme "Excellence Without Excuse." The participants included marching bands, schools, church groups, Junkanoo groups, youth groups and associations.

The highlight, of course, was the Seventh-day Adventist Youth Group. As the parade began, people moved in time to the music, jumping up and down, but when the Pathfinders, Adventurers, and Masterguides came out onto the streets, led by a prestigious, looking colour guards including our President, Pastor Albury, Executive Secretary Pastor Johnson, Youth Director Pastor Clarke and Pathfinders Directors, spectators broke into applause. Remarks could be heard such as: "Those are the Seventh-day Adventist." "Their group is always organized." "They seem to be the only ones with their act together." "Boy, they look good."

Pastor E. D. Clarke says thank you to all. Hats off to the local Youth Directors, Kirk Price, Ray Jennings, Lester Stuart, Barry Saunders, Cecil Cartwright, and our young people for once again presenting to the nation the largest and most organized participating group. We were made proud. -Joan Rahming

President Isaacc Collie reported on two current projects of ASI Bahamas. (1) Placing 3ABN by Cable Bahamas throughout the Family Islands at a cost of $9,000.00 per island. Currently, Abaco and Eleuthera receive 3ABN. (2) Sending out 100 copies of Signs of the Times magazines per month.

Brother Gabriel Vallery reported on the upcoming project of placing 15,000 copies of Happiness Digest in the hands of public high school students in New Providence. The goal is to distribute these before the end of the current school year.

Each person attending the meeting received a copy of the first issue of the Inter-American Division ASI News. Elder Martinborough placed Membership pins on the attending officers of ASI Bahamas, Isaac Collie, President, Dr. Joseph Evans, Vice-President, and Roderick Sands, Secretary-Treasurer.
