Additional Camp Info

West's Archery Camp 2006 will be held at the La Sierra University Campus athletic facility in Riverside on June 19, 20, and 21.  Campers attend during the 9am-330pm time slot daily and do not spend the night.

A parent should attend the sessions with the younger ones.

Material covered during the classroom sessions are:  Archery terminology, Bow tuning and stringing, arrow building, arrow and bow maintenance, video analysis, shooting technique and the archers mental approach to shooting.  Each archer will have their shooting technique video taped for analysis.

There will be two 90 minute shooting sessions each day along with lunch in the cafeteria, two 40 minute classroom sessions and a one hour swim.  Each registered participant will receive an archery camp T-shirt and all of the materials needed to participate in the classes.  The T-shirt must be worn each day to assure admittance to each session.  A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the archery camp.

Archers with their own equipment are encouraged to use it for all sessions.  If you do not have your own equipment, we will provide you with everything you need.

Lunch is provided in the cafeteria each day for each registered archer.  Others attending or observing will need to provide their own meal or may purchase it in the cafeteria.

Other family members attending may participate in the swim if accompanied by a parent or guardian and must submit the names to West's Archery prior to the swim event to assure admittance.  All swimming activity will be under the supervision of the LSU life guard team.

The $95 camp fee includes all instruction, materials, lunches and swimming.  However, there are no reductions of the fees should you choose to not eat in the cafeteria or participate in any of the activities.
