The Gathering

We are gathered here today
In the presence of our Creator
To give thanks.

 We come together to celebrate
God's gift of salvation
To each one of us.

 This gift that was so freely given,
This gift that was so costly,
Is offered to us today.

The gift of God’s salvation and spiritual nurture,
Shows God's tender, loving care for us.
We gladly share this gift humbly with each other.

 Come, all you who are heavy laden,
Come, all you who bear pain,
Come, little children,
Come, adventuresome youth,
Come, one and all and give thanks.
Come now, today and taste of eternity!
