Oh Say, Can You See

July 6, 1995 - In Peace, Hope and Joy through the darkness!

Oh say, can you see -
	All the things they say the Lord has done?
	The mess that we humans are still in?
	The tragedies continuing from generation to generation?

Oh say, can you hear -
	That great river that passes by us no more?
	The small trickle that comes from the man-made dam?
	The great silence here because now there is only parched earth?

Oh say, did you see -
	While bombs were bursting in air, the solid stand of a few brave hearts?
	Those brave hearts standing in the line of fire?
	Those strong hearts never looking back but only forward?

Oh say, did you hear -
	The cries that are going unanswered for water?
	The anxious warnings of dire consequences to come?
	The languishing of the countryside?

Oh say, do you see -
	The Wind sweeping down from the Mountain?
	The Wind coming to revive?
	The Wind covering like a warm cozy blanket, 
		those shivering in the night?

Oh say, do you hear -
	The roar of the multitude?
	Those that see and hear the signs?
	Those rumbles of hunger for the Gifts?
 
There is no stopping the great flow of the water now.
There is One who has unstopped that man-made dam.
There now flows courage through and past us.
	Filling us to the brim.
	Guiding us along dangerous paths ever upward!
	Giving us the fullness of the Spirit.

The man-made dam could not hold the waters back!
The earth is now filled with the waters of life!
The Water that brings Life into the withered soul!
	Completed now is the circle of life.
	Finished now is the hurtfulness of sin.
	Gone now are the hurts, cares and worries.

Come now into the fullness of the Sweet Spirit.
Enter now into the Promised Land.
Enjoy the taste of heaven now!
	The earth is left silent.
	The empty space is left black around it.
	The earth is now empty.

These are the beginnings and endings of the great story.
The greatest Story ever told!
The story lived out!
	Harm will never come again.
	Hurt is gone forever.
	Pain is silenced for eternity.

Peace fills every heart!
Hope now reigns!
Joy lingers everywhere!
Come, enjoy these blessings for eternity!
