He Is Here For You
By Peggy Harris, "Verses of Hope" Volume 2
Into the solitary tomb
Sweet Jesus was brought.
Carried gently by sorrowing friends,
Draped carefully with cloth folded around His precious body.
This cloth covered the angry wounds
Inflicted by anger, hatred and greed.
Silently His body rested in the tomb.
He was there for me!
Into my solitary life
Came the Presence of God.
Gently filling every dark corner,
Sweeping the dreary pain of sin and hopelessness away.
Tenderly the Comforter
Breaks the silence of my woeful life
And brings hope for my future.
The layers of anger, hatred, selfishness
(All the things that made my life so dull and dead)
Are gone!
Now there is a heaven-woven robe
Covering my healing body.
This precious Gift from heaven
Sustains me and reminds me again and again
Of the great love and care God bestows
On each of His earthly children.
Each day I come eagerly, willingly and hopefully
To the foot of the throne of Heaven
To be filled.
There is no disappointment here!
Living in God's presence, I have new life, hope, and peace!
This truth is so precious
It must be shared with you and so many others.
Do you know my Savior?
Do you have this wonderful Peace?
Do you share this truth?
Pass the word -
Jesus saves!
Today He is here for you and me!
