Music Dept. News: Oceantones and K-4 will be performing at the Soquel SDA Church on Saturday, May 5. Please be at the church at 10:30AM. You are invited to join the church for potluck immediately following. We will be sending home a note this week with more information.

Picture Day: Proofs were sent home last week. Please return them by Wed. May 2. If ordering, make checks out to Flip’s Photos. You can also order online.

Prizes: Jump Rope for Heart prizes are here and will be distributed this week! Our top fundraiser, Ethan Cassar has already been to lunch with Mrs. Seagreaves as his reward. The others who were top in their classes will be going this week.

Convocation:Thanks to all the churches that participated! A special thanks to Audries Blake and Donna Teale for all their hard work on the convocation! We hope that everyone received a blessing.

Cinco De Mayo SKATE-8:15PM to 10PM: Ole! There will be a skate night on May 5, sponsored by the 7&8 grade class. Come and join us for a fun-filled night of skating, great Mexican food, Mexican music and much more!

Thank you!: Thanks to the Zachau’s for buying the replacement parts for our play structure on the upper side. We appreciate your being aware of our needs.

From the Accountant’s office: Since we are entering the final quarter of the school year, please remember to settle up your account. In the general financial policies it says all 8th grade accounts must be paid in full before they will be allowed to graduate, please have account settled by May 29. All other accounts need to be paid in full by July 2, to start school next August.

WANTED: Part-time nanny. Approx. 25 hours a week for 3-month-old twin boys and two school-age children, starting now. Please call Jenifer Ringel at

4th Grade Fundraiser: The 4th grade class will be selling donuts every Wednesday at lunch (eating lunch first will be a requirement) and after school if there are any left. Regular size donuts are .50 and larger ones are .75. This will benefit the 4th grad class Gold County trip at the end of the year.

VHM Bumper Stickers: VHM is selling stickers for $1.00, that say “Proud Parent of VHM Student” or “VHM Santa Cruz, California.” Get them in the office and advertise our school! Buy some for grandparents and friends!

Eggs: 7th & 8th grades are selling eggs every Friday after school. 1 dz for $2. If you need more than 1 dz call in your order to Raylene Uren so she will bringenough for all. 685-3632

Box Tops and Soup Labels: Please keep saving and bring in General Mills Box Tops and Campbell Soup labels. Box Tops brought in last year over $300.00. Ask grandparents and friends to save, too! Thanks for your help.
