Prison Ministry - Pugsley Correctional Facility, Kingsley, MI

The Traverse City and Kalkaska Churches have developed a program to minister to the spiritual needs of Seventh-day Adventists and those interested in the Adventist message in Pugsley Correctional Facility. Pugsley is located near Kingsley, MI and a short drive from both churches. This program is coordinated by David Andrews, Prison Ministries Leader for the Traverse City church.

Several members of both churches have been through volunteer orientation at Pugsley and are able to go into the prison for the programs. A small group of inmates and volunteers meet each Sabbath afternoon to study the Sabbath School lesson, sing a few songs, and worship. The services last 2.5 hours.

Remember that you need to find a substitute to fill in for you or switch with you if you need to change your scheduled time. Please keep Dave notified of these changes so I can keep the schedule updated and historically accurate. Remember that the goal is to always have 2 people going out to Camp Pugsley in accordance with Mark 6:7 and Luke 10:1.
