Sermon Notes The sermon was based
on Philippians 3 and John 14.
Knowing Jesus is the Christian's greatest
desire. This is the only way to experience the resurrected life which is the
result of Jesus living in you. A fireplace poker if left in a fire becomes
red hot and if it then touches a piece of paper, transfers the heat to the
paper creating an instant fire. The Born-Again Christian is similar. The
Christian's experience with Christ is transferred to others around him
automatically because the love of Christ is the "heat" that transfers from
Christ to the Christian and then to the people that come into contact with
them.
In Philippians, Paul describes the Power of
Christ and the great value a Christian places on their relationship with
Christ. We must develop a "heaven" mindset like Paul had, and it will become
obvious to others that we have been with Jesus. |
