GENERAL  RULES  FOR  THE  CARE  OF  THE  S.D.A.  CHURCH  FACILITY 

WHEN YOU COME:

1.  Use main entrance doors for all functions that are not using the education wing.

2.  Manifest loving reverence for God, respect for the church, love for the people in it.

3.  Take care to maintain the cleanliness of the facility inside and out.

4.  Keep all pets and other animals except for seeing-eye dogs outside.

5.  Supervise children to nurture Christian behavior during activities and their free time.

    Allow no reckless running, pushing, roughhousing, or climbing in the building.

6.  Consume all food and drinks in designated areas during meals, not in the halls or sanctuary.

 

WHEN YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF THE GROUP:

 

1.  Obtain rental forms from the head deacon.  Church Board must approve your request.

2.  Keys must be obtained only from the head deacon, who must have keys to all parts of facility.

3.  Thermostats are set by the caretaker in charge.  Do not try to adjust them.  Seek help.

4.  Oversee the enforcement of the General Rules for the Care of the S.D.A. Church facility.

5.  Use only the lights that are needed when they are needed.

6.  Pick up any and all items left behind by your group and take them with you.

7.  Do whatever is needed to restore the rooms you used to their original order and cleanliness.

8.  Report any damages or items needing special attention to the caretaker or the head deacon.

9.  Limit uses of the phone to only necessary calls.  Avoid making any long distance calls on it.

     (The church is charged for each call made: there is no “free” access to the telephone for us.)

 

BEFORE YOU LEAVE:

 

1.  Turn off all the lights in all the rooms, including the restrooms.

2.  See that all accessible exit doors are locked.

3.  See that no water is left running.

4.  If you turned up the thermostat, turn it back down.
