We feel that this statement summarizes who and what the Toronto East Seventh-Day Adventist Church is. The meaning of this statement can be determined as follows:
A Lighthouse of Hope:
In response to Jesus' call to service, the Toronto East Seventh-Day Adventist Church as His Lighthouse, will reflect the Biblical message of hope in Christ through a vibrant and visible ministry, and wholistic education for the community, including disadvantaged and marginalized persons.
A Family That Nurtures:
By the grace of God, as part of the worldwide Family of God we will provide nurture to families -- including single parents -- in order to assist in meeting their basic needs.
A Hospital for Healing:
In the Spirit and power of Christ, as a "Hospital for Sinners", we will render emotional and spiritual support through healing, guidance, reconciliation and sustenance to one another and to our community.
About the Seventh Day Adventist Church
As a Christian church, Seventh-day Adventists are a faith community rooted in the beliefs described by the Holy Scriptures. Adventists describe these beliefs in the following ways:
God's greatest desire is for you to see a clear picture of His character. When you see Him clearly, you will find His love irresistible.
