You have probably heard about the books and now the movie about those Left Behind. It is very popular, politically correct, and has made a lot of money. In their efforts to come up with an exiting and politically correct interpretation of Bible prophecy that will not offend anyone and most will agree on, has the Bible been added to or has there been any compromise of Bible truth? Has Satan succeeded in getting people to set aside their Bibles and go elsewhere for "truth"? Let's check to see if any truth has been left behind. To find out what we are really in store for in these last days, lets set aside the money making fiction and go to the infallible word of God (given to us free of charge) for the truth. Let's put down the fictional books, and look at a few verses from the Bible in order to see what the Bible plainly states about the return of Jesus, the beast, antichrist, and end time prophecy and see if we can find any contradictions. What is really in store for those left behind?.

Will Jesus return before or after the tribulation?
Mark 13:24-26 "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Will the return of Jesus be a secret?
Will anyone notice?

Will there be any other strange happenings on this day that we may notice?
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. Yes our Lord will come as a "thief in the night", but are there any "little" details they are leaving out ......
2 Peter 3:10-12 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Will those "left behind" that have a second chance at salvation?
Will it be business as usual?

heaven, and destroyed them all.

Mat 13:41-43 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Matthew 13:49-50 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

What will be left behind after Jesus returns?
Jeremiah 4:23-26 I beheld the earth, and indeed it was without form, and void; And the heavens, they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and indeed they trembled, And all the hills moved back and forth. I beheld, and indeed there was no man, And all the birds of the heavens had fled. I beheld, and indeed the fruitful land was a wilderness, And all its cities were broken down At the presence of the LORD, By His fierce anger.
Jeremiah 4:27-29 For thus says the LORD: "The whole land shall be desolate; Yet I will not make a full end. For this shall the earth mourn, And the heavens above be black, Because I have spoken. I have purposed and will not relent, Nor will I turn back from it.
Does the following verse really state that life will go on business as usual for those left behind for the next 7 years?
Does it really state they will get a second chance?
Matthew 24:39-42 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Will we be able to use a "seven year" timeline to calculate His return?
1 Thessalonians 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only
After the break up of the Roman Empire will there ever be a "one world Government"?
Will we ever have a "New World Order"?

Does the Bible say that the Book of Revelation will be fulfilled far in the future?

Did the beast exist when the Roman Empire existed?

Did antichrist already exist when the New Testament was being written?

Were the saints "raptured away" to escape the persecution of the beast?
Daniel 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Is the Beast "Christian" or some other religion?
John 16:2 They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.
1 John 2:18-19 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
1 Timothy 4:1-2 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
1 John 3:10-12 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.
Does the Beast reside in Jerusalem or Rome?
Revelation 17:8-9 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. "Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.
Revelation 17:18 And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth."
Editor's Note: The city of Rome sits on seven hills. Bible scholars and even secret rapture theorists all agree that this is a direct reference to the city of Rome. At the time this was written, the Roman Empire (the "greatest" empire the earth has ever seen) ruled the modern world and it's capital was the city of Rome. Rome was "the great city which reigns over the kings of the earth". This is where they come up with the "Roman Antichrist".
What does a Beast represent in Bible prophecy?
Daniel 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

Does antichrist reside in a Temple in Jerusalem or in the Christian Church?
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Ephesians 2:19-22 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
I Corinthians 3:16-17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition ; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
Editor's note, Jesus calls Judas (a disciple, a member of his church, and a Christian) the "Son of Perdition" and also uses this same phrase to describe antichrist. The new testament refers to the Christian Church as a Holy Temple. The temple of God refers to the Christian Church. Antichrist is a Christian entity and resides in the Christian Church, not a temple in Jerusalem.
What is in store for the Saints taken (alive and resurrected) after Jesus returns?
1 Corinthians 15:52-55 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
Revelation 21:1-5 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
What does the Bible say about those who have added to or taken away from end time prophecy?
Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
What things will you not find mentioned in the Bible?
The term "rapture".
A secret rapture with live people left behind.
The phrase "seven year tribulation".
The temple being rebuilt in Jerusalem for the third time.
A prophecy about the restoration of the literal modern day nation of Israel.
People stamping the number 666 or barcodes on your forehead, or inserting computer chips into your body.
An "antichrist" that is anything but a professed Christian.
A war between China, Russia, Israel, Afghanistan, Iraq, the United States and whoever else futurists decide throw in as world politics change.
A second chance for those who Jesus does not take? Absolutely positively not!!!
