History
THE SEED, THE PLANT, THE FRUIT of the FAMILY INTIMACY CENTRE
The Family Intimacy Centre was opened on April 10, 2000 on 38  Mount Hill Road, Pembroke, Bermuda.

We focus on providing relationship education through counselling, workshops, group sessions, mediation and networking with other like  agencies. It is our goal to have a positive effect on the individual, their homes, jobs, churches and the community at large.

Our small beginnings included counseling and empowerment  workshops. Throughout this first year, we have grown to include several Marriage Enrichment Workshops held at Newstead Hotel, mediation for families and businesses, and professional development workshops for schools, supervisors,  counselors, and even fire service personnel.

Development and expansion must always be an integral part of  any establishment. Thus, we will continue to advance, setting goals that will enable us to reach our highest potential. During our last quarter, other like agencies, as well as several government agencies, have requested our services and made referrals. It is our endeavor to work more closely with them, expanding  The Family Intimacy Centre, assisting individuals and families to heal and grow. It is also our desire to provide more services to the various Christian  affiliations of Bermuda.

In addition, it is imperative for professionals to continue to  develop their skills and to improve their own life journey. Therefore, it is also our goal to continuously seek professional and personal development. This  will enable us to provide more efficient service to our community.

We deem it a privilege to support others on their pathway of  life. No man is an island. Therefore, each one needs someone else. We pledge to utilize impeccable ethics, merged with skills, caring, and concern that will  propel those we serve to pursue their own path of healing, growth, and self-awareness. Remember that life is a journey, not a destination. We encourage you to bloom where you are planted along your journey.

WE CARE BECAUSE YOU ARE SPECIAL!
