The essence of communication is giving, receiving and understanding information |
| As
the administrative arm of the church, the mandate of the communications
department of Shiloh Seventh-day Adventist Church is to link our church
and the community by disseminating pertinent information in a timely
manner.
One of our projects the "Shiloh Sentinel/Kids Crest" (SS/KC) is a church newsletter that will be published every six (6) weeks. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our members and our community informed of all events. As the communications secretary, my goal is to ensure that all information is current, factual and presented in a manner that is beneficial to everyone. The articles published in SS/KC (at present) are submitted to us by members of our local church, we attempt at all times to publish all submissions, however, if an article is not in a particular issue it will be in the next issue. We are endeavoring to incorporate community happenings in the near future. Another goal of the communications department this year is to run advertisements for local businesses or anyone wishing to advertise a personal event or function. Advertisement can be purchased for a small fee of $10.00 per issue or three (3) issues for $25.00 per quarter page. Everyone is invited to submit articles, purchase space for advertising, write guest editorials or provide feedback. NOTE: The communications department reserves the right to edit all submissions.
