SANCTUARY INTRODUCTION

Where would you place your church in the Old Testment Sanctuary?

When a person in the Old Testament sinned, they took a lamb to the Sanctuary. When we get to the Sanctuary with that lamb, we see it as Jesus. So we lay our sins on the Altar of Sacrifice typifying we are laying them on Jesus. We are standing at the foot of the cross and realize other people are standing with us and Jesus's blood is dropping on all of us. Therefore, we have no right to judge or condemn for we are all in this same boat together. We go to the Laver and see baptism and foot washing. Then to the door to the Holy Place realizing there is a door when we first entered and door to the Most Holy. Jesus is the Door and we are meeting Him all the way through the Sanctuary. God says His way is in the Sanctuary (Psalm 77:13) and Jesus is also the Way.

Next, we go to the Table of Shewbread and we see our health message. Our mental health with our relationship with Jesus, our spiritual health with the Word of God and our physical health represented by the bread reminding us a simple diet gives us a clear mind and healthy body so we can go on God's errands.

Then we come to the candlesticks where the Holy Spirit brings prophecy to us and helps us share it with others.

At the Altar of Incense, we come boldly before the throne of God and Jesus intercedes for us; we intercede for others and Jesus sends recruitments to bring them to Him. When we get to the Most Holy Place there are two particular messages for the time we live in -- The Ten Commandments and the Judgment Hour Message. At the judgment Jesus goes into the Most Holy of the Sanctuary in heaven to go over the books. When this judgment is over Jesus will return for His faithful people. Those who have kept God's commandments and have the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12) will meet Him in the clouds of glory. ( 1 Thessalonians 4:17).

When we first accepted Jesus as our Saviour our names were written in the Lamb's Book of Life. The Holy Spirit will work with us to fully connect with Jesus and to disconnect from the world. As we choose to do this we are choosing that sin will never rise up again with us. Therefore, we will be safe to save in the Judgment and will be ready when Jesus comes.

Should we choose, like Pharoah (Exodus 5:2) that we will not have this God rule over us then we won't connect ourselves with Jesus or disconnect from the world and our names will be taken out of the Book of Life and we will go where we have chosen.  Jesus died on Calvary (Read Isaiah 53 daily) to make each one of us free to choose for Eternal Life. As John 3:16, 17 says God gave His Son, Jesus, that we might not perish but have life everlasting. God does not condemn us. When we accept Jesus, He stands in our place in the Judgment.
