Pastor Reynold Hazelwood

 

 

Did you know...

Pastor Reynold Hazelwood is a native of the beautiful twin Island state of Trinidad and Tobago. He is the first of five children born to Seventh-day Adventist parents, Arnold (deceased) and Eleen Hazelwood. He accepted the Lord as his personal Saviour and was baptized at the early age of seven.

Pastor Hazelwood has had the privilege of serving the local church in almost every department. One of the highlights of his lay ministry is leading some fifty souls to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Hazelwood is a graduate in Elementary Education from Caribbean Union College Trinidad, 1981 and Ministerial Theology from Oakwood College, Alabama U.S.A.1999.

 

He also holds a diploma in Technology Education and Curriculum Development from the University of Wisconsin, Wisconsin, U.S.A. He has spent over 16 years teaching both at the Elementary and High School level in Trinidad.

Pastor Hazelwood is married to the wonderful Vanda Hazelwood, his wife of 16 years, who is also a graduate of Caribbean Union College, Trinidad and Sheridan College and York University, Ontario, Canada. God has blessed them with three wonderful daughters, Revanna, Reverne and Reanne who use their music to spread the gospel.

In October of 1999 Pastor Hazelwood accepted a call to the Ontario Conference and served as the Associate Pastor of the Ruth/Brampton District under Pastor Winston Hurlock. During that time many precious souls were led to Christ. In January of 2002 he was asked to serve as the Pastor for the Ruth Seventh-day Adventist Church in North Brampton, one of the fastest growing churches in the G.T.A.

In 2003 Pastor Hazelwood successfully coordinated the first Greater Toronto Area Youth Evangelistic Program called “Connect 2 Life.”  In 2004 he again successfully coordinated one of the largest evangelistic programs in the west end of the GTA. This program involving thirteen churches is known as “Reach 4 Life Ministries.”

Pastor Hazelwood also serves as the Chair of the Toronto Adventist District School Board, (TADSB) a position he has held since July of 2003.

Pastor Hazelwood was ordained to gospel ministry on July 13th, 2002. He loves the Lord very much and enjoys evangelism. It is his desire to use every possible method that God gives him to spread the good news of salvation. His favourite Bible texts are Psalm 119:11 “Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against thee” and Philippians 4: 13 “I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me.”
