POLLYWOG was a dream which Adventist Development and Relief Agency International (ADRA) a worldwide multi-dimensional, multi-cultural relief agency brought into reality by giving work to 200 destitute ladies. Its name was chosen for this very reason: it was an embryo type project. Today, 20 years later, POLLYWOG is filling a real need in providing opportunity for widowed, orphaned, abandoned and poor women to support themselves and their families by doing beautiful cross-stitch. They work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, in a well-lit, ventilated and equipped workroom at the Seventh-day Adventist mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Quality and uniqueness of product have top priority. Your support of POLLYWOG changes women without hope into self-respecting, cheerful productive women and is greatly appreciated. Each dollar you spend in support of POLLYWOG feeds a mother and her child for a day, as well as teaching them that the Savior loves even women too.
