Pamela Kay
"Pamela Kay, summed up, is joy and ministry.  Her concerts are a time of praise and worship, not entertainment fluff.  Having known Pamela for a few years and had the opportunity to simply sit and talk with her about her philosophy of why there even is a Pamela Kay, I have absolutely no doubt that she truly is a minister of God devoted to sharing His love with a hurting world.  Her songs and open personal testimonies bring hope and even laughter and peace to all who listen.  One word of caution, however, the music of Pamela Kay has been known to cause outbreaks of toe tapping, humming along and even some lifting of holy hands unto the Lord."

"As a Director of Music for a local church, I have had the pleasure of working closely with Pamela Kay for several years.  Her ministry of music is genuine, sincere and blessed by God.  She has been an inspiration to my personal life.  I miss her and am saddened as she travels sharing her ministry of music, yet I know she is influencing lives everywhere she performs."

"Pamela Kay has a warm, mellow voice that gives you peace in the midst of our hectic world. I would highly recommend her in concert for everyone who longs to feel the joy of the Lord again."

Pamela Kay is a singer with a style of her own - an Inspirational style with a touch of Southern Gospel - otherwise known as Christian Country.  But with her rich vocals and strong, emotional lyrics, you will always hear God's promises.

An on-stage singer since she was 4 years old, she is also a trained pianist with an ear for harmonies as well as melody lines. Pamela has been married for more than 25 years to the man who is, understandably, her most avid fan.  She does not have any children, but west highland terriers are her passion.

Prior to her solo debut, Pamela has been the lead singer for Unity, an inspirational Christian group.  With that group, two projects were released - "A Very Personal Love" in 1991 and "My Song in the Night" in late 1993.  The sophomore album contained a solo release called "Take Them to Your Heart" written by Russ Hollingsworth which was sent out nationally through Showcase media for radio play.  It was mildly successful - which says much about the quality of both the artist and the song when they are each unknown.

Since 1993, she has embarked on a solo career and released tow projects - "Heart Notes" (1996) and "Hold Fast" (1998).  From these, "Heaven is a Wonderful Place", "The Greatest Miracle" and "Preaching of the Cross" were released nationally through Higgins Music Group, Nashville, Tennessee.  These releases received medium to heavy airplay.  In 2000, "Grandma's Rocking Chair" was released through Glory Train records to both the United States and Europe and hit #34 on the International Gospel Chart during December.  "Subject To Change" was released through Glory Train Records in 2001 and went to #27 on the International Gospel Chart in May.

Pamela has been recognized by the Mayor of the City of Columbus, Ohio Senator Ben Espy and Ohio House of Representatives Otto Beatty, Jr., for her work in the field of gospel music.  In addition, she has received awards for her musical contributions from S.T.A.A. and Ameriflora "92.  She has made many personal appearances throughout the Eastern United States including the Ohio State Fair and numerous camp meetings and revivals in addition to her concert work.  Pamela records monthly for the Country Gospel Time on TV-39 in Ohio.  She has also had the opportunity to sing twice on board a Holland America cruise ship, sing with Hosanna Integrity's choir, and work as a studio singer.

Pamela has worked with Scott Fowler and Roger Bennett (The Cathedral Quartet and Legacy Five) in the production of her second group project "My Song in the Night."  Pamela has plans to begin another project with them during late 2001.  Other plans include a duet of "Silent Night" with Gladys Jones for Gladys' Christmas project to be released this year, regular appearances with Ohio Gospel Jamboree and continued work with Country Gospel Time.
