for children in grades one through eight.

Mission  Statement

Merced Adventist School is part of the Seventh-day Adventist school system, the largest protestant school system in the world.  It is operated by the Olive East Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Merced Adventist School is a Christian multi-grade school committed to providing a Christian atmosphere for students in grades K-8.  Since every human being is made in the image of God, we have attributes akin to our Creator.  Therefore, Adventist education encourages students to be thinkers rather than mere reflectors of others' thoughts; loving service rather than selfish ambition; maximum development of one's potential; and an appreciation for all that is beautiful, true and good.  We strive for a balanced wholeness of each person.  In Adventist education, homes, schools, and churches cooperate with divine agencies in preparing young people for service here on earth and citizenship in the New Earth to come.

Curriculum

Our focus is to have a Christ centered curriculum.  We want to study the life and love of Jesus, encouraging personal commitment to God. The integration of Biblical Truth in every academic discipline and in every activity of school life is our educational aim.
