Meet the Staff of Oakwood Church

Welcome Pastor Bill & Cheryl Lindeman

Pastor Bill Lindeman was born in Ketchikan, Alaska.  He is a third generation Adventist, his grandfather having pioneered the work in Alaska. The church and SDA Christian education have always been a part of his life. His father was a commercial fisherman by trade so Bill learned to fish at an early age and used it to earn his way through academy and college.  While attending Auburn Academy he felt God calling him to be fisher of men instead of fish.

Pastor Lindeman graduated from Walla Walla College with a major in religion and minors in music and history.  He also holds an MA degree from Andrews University.  He taught and administrated in our SDA school system for 16 years before accepting a call into pastoral ministry.  He served churches in
Montana and New Jersey prior to accepting the call to pastor the Oakwood Church.

The Lindeman's met at Walla Walla College.  Cheryl graduated with a degree in nursing.  They have two children.  Tami and her husband, Jovee reside near Loma Linda, CA.  Erick and his wife, Prea live in Somerset, New Jersey.
