New Church Building In Abaco

On Sunday, June 12, 2005, officers and departmental directors of the North Bahamas Mission traveled to the beautiful island of Abaco to join the brethren of that district in celebration as they broke ground on a 3-acre beautiful hilltop property for the construction of a sanctuary for the North Abaco Church. The impressive service attended by members, local dignitaries and well-wishers from all over Abaco underscored the tremendous strides that have been made, over the past several years, in the development of the work in North Abaco .

From the very small beginnings of one or two members conducting Bible studies, and branch Sabbath Schools in their homes, the church now has a membership of approximately 36individuals who are committed to advancing further out into the deep for the Lord. Dr. Keith D. Albury, president of the Mission, taking his cue from Haggai 1:1-10, encouraged the brethren to step out in faith as they build knowing that God has promised He will be with them and provide there sources they need to complete the project. Later on in the program, monetary gifts were presented by the Mission and the other churches in Abaco. Assurances were given that the other churches in Grand Bahama would send their gifts as well. Congratulations are extended to Pastor Leonardo Rahming, Elder Rick Sands and the entire team at North Abaco for planning an excellent program.

Progress of New Headquarters

Work is continuing to progress on the construction of the new headquarters of the North Bahamas Mission.  Through the faithful support of the membership the project is well on target to being completed by the first quarter of 2006.  June 14, 2005

Encouragement from Friends  June 4, 2005

Pastor Keith Albury who continues treatment in Tampa for his illness, continues to be encouraged by the visit of family and friends from far and near.  Recently he hosted a delegation of the Administration of the Bahamas conference and their spouses, who attending another function in the area, took the time to say hello and pray with the Alburys.  He was also blessed with a visit from the former president of the North American Division, "the Dean of Adventist Preachers," Dr. Charles E. Bradford, along with Dr. Vincent, host pastor in Tampa, who have been very gracious and helpful to the Alburys since they arrived in Tampa, Florida.  To God be the praise for His ministering saints.

June 5, 2006   Recently, Dr. Keith D. Albury, president of North Pastor Albury preaching at the March Harbor Adventist ChurchBahamas Mission, visited Abaco where he preached at the Marsh Harbor Seventh-day Adventist Church during a joint service of all the churches.  Pastor Albury encouraged the brethren in his message to remain faithful to the Lord despite the many trials of life.
