Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly Speaks at GBA Awards Ceremony

The Honorable J. Kwasi Thompson, Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly and Member of Parliament for Pineridge in the Bahamas was the guest speaker at the Grand Bahama Academy of Seventh-day Adventists Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 10, 2008. He addressed the theme “Exceeding Expectations with God’s Help”. Students received numerous awards for a variety of categories in which they excelled over the previous school year. 

 
Pastor Ricardo Bain Speaks at Grand Bahama Annual Youth Month Church Service
Grand Bahama Island - The Annual Youth Month church service took place on October 5th at the Community at Heart Tabernacle Church  in Freeport. Guest Speaker was pastor Ricardo Bain (Youth Director of North Bahamas Mission of Seventh-Day Adventist).  Online Newspaper see more

Mission Trip to the Berry Islands

On Wednesday, October 1, 2008 the President of the Adventist Church in the Northern Bahamas, Pastor E. Bryan Tinker, along with the Executive Secretary, Pastor M. A. Smith and the Personal Ministries Director, Pastor Henry Moncur travelled to the Berry Islands to establish the nucleus of a congregation and Branch Sabbath School on Great Harbour Cay in the Berry Islands.  See more

 
Health Expo 2008

Mrs. Sharon Williams, Chief Administrator of the Grand Bahama Health Authority delivered the keynote address and officially opened the annual Health Expo conducted in the North Bahamas Mission on the grounds of the Shiloh Church on Sunday, September 28, 2008. Many doctors and health specialists were on hand to provide invaluable insights into the important of  health care. See more

Ingathering Rally

Pastor Henry Moncur, Personal Ministries Director of the North Bahamas Mission, sets Ingathering 2008 ablaze at a joint rally on Sabbath afternoon, September 27, 2008. Ingathering is the church's opportunity to share with our community what we have done in Community Services over the last year and invite them to partner with us in continuing to meet the needs of the less fortunate and hurting in our society and the world. Accountant Needed

The North Bahamas Mission is seeking to employ an accountant. Interested persons may apply by dropping off a copy of their resume to the Mission Office or email it to nbctreasurer@coralwave.com. Candidates must possess an Accounting Degree (Associate or Bachelor) and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Quick Books. The applicant must also be a team player, be able to multi-task, and be willing to work flexible hours.

2008 Week of Prayer Readings

The Week of Prayer readings for 2008 are about signs. Signs are important, because Jesus identified them for us and imbued them with meaning. He knew that the Christian journey was going to be long and at times difficult for His servants. He used some of the natural phenomena, the social and political life, the spiritual condition of humans, the stages in the development of His plan for the human race as pointers that along the way would remind all of us about His soon return. Day of Kindness and Compassion

The Kindness and Compassion Project is an activity of volunteers that projects the Seventh-Day Adventist member and any other volunteer person within his community. The main objective is to motive Kindness and Compassion in each person that is involved so he can experience the benefits of a single act of kindness, “the more you give, the more you receive”.
