WHO ARE WE?
Located in one of Europe‘s most vibrant cities, New Life SDA is a truly international, multi-ethnical, multi-cultural family of believers and people on their way to the Lord reaching out mainly to English-speaking guests and residents of Berlin, Germany. Our members come from all continents and races. The high turnover of guest students and large number of visitors guarantee a unique worship experience. But we always wanted more. Seeking to follow in the footsteps of our Lord and Savior, our key mission is to help immigrants and temporary residents find their way and purpose in the fast-paced, often ignorant urban life.



WHAT IS OUR VISION?

We, the New Life SDA church family of disciples from all over the world, are convicted that God has given us a mission to build a multi-ethnical Center in the heart of Berlin.

Placed in a central location, it will become a refuge for immigrants and foreign students looking for help in integrating to the German society. The Center will offer:

- language courses

- counseling in the fields of job search, health, paperwork, providing food

- clothing and emergency accomadation for those in need

- Bible study

- prayer and music groups

- child care in a daycare center

- tutorial classes for elementary and high school levels

There will be a sanctuary large enough to hold at least 200 people, several seminar rooms, a large kitchen and eating area and storage rooms.

WHAT HAVE WE ACCOMPLISHED?

From the beginning, the leaders of New Life SDA believed in a highly interactive church experience. If you join our church, don‘t be surprised to find yourself invited to the platform for a prayer or testimony very soon. This active concept has lead to a steady growth in members and regular visitors through the outreach of prayer teams, Bible study groups, health seminars and numerous personal mission activities for foreigners in need. Due to the high number of people who stay in town only for a year or less, it is impossible to say how many lives in all parts of the world have been touched by disciples taught at New Life, for instance Chinese students who have decided to follow Jesus and teach the Bible in their home country.

Moreover, we have accepted our responsibility to reach out to the German youth in Berlin, many of which are on the verge of leaving their churches. Our concerts with guest acts like Croydon SDA Gospel Choir from London and inspiring seminars have helped them to find a purpose in the kingdom-building process.

Another important endeavor started by the New Life family are the International English-Speaking Camp-meetings held every 2 years, uniting immigrant believers from all over Europe for a highly inspiring season of teaching, worship and fellowship. Our guest speakers included former GC secretary Ralph Thompson, EUD secretary Gabriel Maurer and the well-known stewardship expert Stephen Ruff.

HOW DID WE START?

New Life SDA started with the vision of one African guest student to have an English-speaking Adventist church in Berlin. In 1996, he started worship services, mission work and evangelism outreach with a group of three. Today, never less than fifty people crowd our humble quarters in the heart of Berlin every Sabbath for lively worship services, truly international fellowship, Bible study and mission preparation.
