Vera Binnie's Celebration Sabbath

On Sabbath, December 6, 2003, the members of the New Englerston Church honored Vera Albertha Binnie for her many years of committed, and dedicated service to the church and the community.  At the age of 91 (Born April 7, 1912) she still plays the piano in Sabbath School and attend all regular services.   The sermon for Vera Binnie's Day was presented by Pastor Hugh Roach.  The theme of the day was "A Woman of Substance."

The music was provided by the Centreville Church Choir, directed by Mrs. Althea Tinker, and the New Englerston Church Choir.   Vera Binnie was honored with many gifts including a plaque, three exotic live flowing plants, five large bouquet of flowers, and a rocking chair from the church.  See photos below.
