When the Clock Runs Out on America and the New World Order
(Is the Christian Right--Wrong?)
-
Illus: When I was in college I saved enough money one summer to buy a used,
1961 Volkswagen Beetle.
-
I had spotted the ad in the newspaper, and so I persuaded my roommate to
drive me in his 1955 Buick to downtown Chattanooga (Tenn) where the owner
lived.
-
We went down at night--and that's when I learned my first lesson about car
buying--never buy a car at night when you don't have enough light to really
check it out!
-
I didn't know that then--so I bought the car for $300 hard earned dollars.
-
When I got it home in the light of day the next day--I realized what I had
purchased: a flaky green VW with oversize rear tires on it, a "holey" muffler,
unraveling woven plastic seats, a sponge steering wheel and a radio that
didn't work.
-
BUT I LOVED THAT CAR IN SPITE OF ITS FAULTS!
-
And it did had a most ingenious feature on it--some of you will remember
that the Volkswagens of early vintage DID NOT come with a fuel gauge--no
way to visually determine how much gas you had left in the gas tank.
-
Instead those German engineers had created a SMALL RESERVE TANK in the car.
-
And a clever little gizmo down on the floorboard that you could turn with
your foot.
-
THE PLAN was that whenever you ran out of gas in the main tank, you quickly
kicked that little lever on the firewall, and when you pushed it to the side--you
had another maybe 20 miles to go before you were REALLY out of gas!
-
I don't think the engineers had a college student in mind when they designed
that nifty feature!
-
Because it seemed I WAS ALWAYS DRIVING MY VW WITH THAT LEVER TURNED TO RESERVE.
-
Didn't have enough money to keep the main tank full, so I kept driving around
on that reserve tank.
-
"After all, I CAN SURELY MAKE IT A FEW MORE MILES DOWN THE ROAD."
-
And you guessed it--I WAS ALWAYS RUNNING OF OUT GAS, IN MY RESERVE TANK--which
meant calling my roommate or some other hapless friend and begging him to
come and pick me up stranded along some country road somewhere--I lost more
friends that way!
-
But do you know what--my 1961 VW Beetle reminds me very much of this present
civilization that you and I are living in!
-
We are living in a world tonight, ladies and gentlemen, that is now running
on reserve.
-
The main tank is empty--and every indicator you and I have been sharing over
the last few evenings declares that WE ARE RUNNING ON RESERVE, AND WE ARE
ABOUT TO RUN OUT.
-
Tonight's lecture, "When Time Runs Out on America and the New World Order."
-
In a very haunting piece of apocalyptic prophecy, we are going to stare this
very present civilization in the face.
-
And, I might add, discover in the process that sad ending that Apocalypse
predicts for my homeland of the United States of America.
-
So come and peer behind the veil of time again here in the second half of
that provocative apocalyptic prophecy we shared last time in Revelation 13.
-
Open your Bible again to Revelation 13 (p 1183), as this evening we encounter
the very dramatic depiction and story of the second beast!
-
Read Rev. 13:11-15.
-
What's going on? Something ominous, something terrible, something mysterious,
something tragic is herein being predicted in this haunted piece of the
Apocalypse!
-
Who is this second beast power? This power that is predicted to eventually
possess global dominance and control. This power that will join forces with
the first beast in this very prophecy. This power that will eventually become
a global policeman that will command, demand and finally enforce global worship
of the first beast power. Who is this second beast? What power could possibly
be described here?
-
There is only one power on earth that meets all the prophetic criteria here.
Read the apocalyptic prophecy again and see for yourself.
-
Verse 11--"Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth."
-
Interestingly, the Greek verb for "coming up out of" that John chose here
is anabaino, which means to grow or to spring up.
-
It's the same word that Matthew used in Jesus' parable of the sower to describe
the growing of the thorny weed that sprang up (Matthew 13:7).
-
So what John is describing here is this beast power that springs up, comes
from out of nowhere, growing like a weed into its global role.
-
But please note from whence this second beast arises.
-
Do you recall from whence came the first beast we encountered and identified
in the previous chapter?
-
Read verse 1 again: "And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea."
-
Letting the Apocalypse interpret itself, what kind of symbolism do we encounter
here?
-
The answer is found in Revelation 17:15 (p 1186).
-
I.e., the waters in the Apocalypse are symbolic of great masses of people
and nations and languages.
-
Which being interpreted means that the first beast power would arise in the
midst of history's great nations and peoples.
-
And in fact, the only geo-political-religious power that could possibly be
described as holding dominance during the Dark and Middle Ages was indeed
a power that rose up in the midst of history's great peoples.
-
We identified this beast in our last lecture as the Roman papacy.
-
But this second power, what a stark contrast! For here is a beast that is
shown rising, springing up, rapidly growing not from the waters where the
peoples are, but in direct contrast--from the earth.
-
Away from the water, meaning away from the masses and multitudes of history's
great nations and peoples; i.e., this second beast power springs to life
in an unpopulated region of the world, far away from history's peopled
thoroughfares.
-
Who could this power possibly be? Ah, there is one word we left out of our
examination of verse 11. And it is the first word, which the NKJV correctly
and interpretatively translates, "then."
-
But why, "then"? Because there's an important sequence taking place here.
-
Remember the first beast and how it was mortally wounded after enjoying over
a millennium of global sway during the history of the Christian church? That
geo-religio-political power that was brought to its knees and nearly destroyed
by a mortal wound.
-
Interestingly enough, that mortal wound is also described in the second half
of chapter 13, where it is described as "the beast that had been wounded
by the sword and yet lived" (verse 14).
-
The sword is, of course, a military weapon in the time of John.
-
And that fits precisely with the historical fulfillment of that geo-religio-
political power's wounding, when a military general from Napoleon, named
Berthier, took Pope Pius VI captive from Rome and shut down the Papacy in
1798. A mortal wound by the sword of the military indeed!
-
Well, that first beast has been taken captive in verse 10: "He who leads
into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must
be killed with the sword."
-
John gives the cryptic clue by penning the very next words: And "then I saw
another beast coming up out of the earth."
-
Who then is the second beast?
-
[show on screen] What power on earth sprang into existence and began its
comparatively rapid growth into global dominance around the 1790s? What power
on earth sprang into existence far away from the waters, from the masses
and multitudes of the Middle Ages great nations? What power on earth sprang
into existence with those credentials and today holds global sway?
-
Given the historical background as well as the time frame for its emergence,
there is only one international power that fits the prophetic description
here: late 1700s; away from Europe and the masses; growing rapidly into eventual
global dominance.
-
Only one power fits the bill. And that power is the nation I am a citizen
of, the United States of America.
-
But I must hasten to interject--for all of you who are watching this evening
and are NOT citizens of this land, and who might be thinking, "Oh great,
here comes an AMERICAN IMPERIALISM SPEECH--for you I must be quick to add
that what we're about to read is a most tragic tale that is yet to happen,
a story no American will be proud of!
-
Illus: But for a moment, speaking to my own countrymen now, I think of the
words written by that Russian immigrant who landed on these shores back in
1893. I think of his words and with what pride I still sing them, these words
of Irving Berlin:
"God bless America, Land that I love; Stand beside her, And guide her, Through
the night with a light from above. From the mountains, To the prairies, To
the oceans white with foam, God bless America, My home sweet home."
-
What American soul has not felt the electric thrill of emotion while singing
that prayer.
-
Because God has blessed America, in a signal way like no other nation in
modern history.
-
If you're a citizen of another country, I can almost hear your gracious
remonstrance that I'm sounding just like an American now.
-
Which of course I can't help but do.
-
Illus: So listen for a moment to a foreigner, an alien in our land, and let
her speak for the world. A few years ago I had the privilege of being invited
to join over fifteen thousand men and women of the Economic Club of Southwest
Michigan to hear one of the most powerful and influential women of the world
speak--Margaret Thatcher, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. I
grabbed my pen and scribbled her words down when she declared: The United
States "is the greatest power in the world today." She went on, "You have
indeed a very, very special destiny." A very special destiny? More than she
will ever know!
-
Illus: Charles Krauthammer, writing in New Republic magazine observed that
recent events:
"...have given birth to a highly unusual world structure with a single power,
the United States, at the apex of the international system.
There is no prospect in the immediate future of any power to rival the United
States."
-
Not Japan, not Germany, not Russia.
-
Which was why Yassir Arafat in responding to the sudden ascendancy of the
United States in the global political arena called Washington "The New Rome,"
recalling the days of the Roman Empire's dominance.
-
For that reason who was surprised when the editors of the late-president
Richard Nixon's ninth book chose the title, Seize the Moment: America's Challenge
in a One Superpower World.
-
Whether you're American or not, the undisputed fact remains that the United
States is at this very moment enjoying a sole global superpower status she
has never in her history experienced.
-
Illus: And not only economically or politically--but--and I am saddened to
have to admit this--the United States has become a global leader morally
(or immorally) and socially (or anti-socially).
-
When I was in Australia recently I was told that even in that great and proud
land the singular influence of the U.S. on the younger generation cannot
be denied.
-
The MTV youth culture, exported from the shores of America, now sets the
entertainment and social agenda of an entire planet of young.
-
In Sydney, Australia, the inner city youth dress the same way as the youth
of America, right down to the ball team caps that are worn backwards just
like in this nation.
-
The most popular sports hero in Australia is an American basketball star,
the most popular in this nation as well--Michael Jordon.
-
Police are having difficulty with Australian youth who have grown up watching
Hollywood's exported American culture movies-- because when kids are pulled
over or arrested in Sydney, they cry out, "I want to plead the Fifth"--but
there is no such thing in Australian law called, "pleading the Fifth"--that
comes from the U.S. Constitution and is what criminals often cry out when
they're arrested in Hollywood movies.
-
And even Australian teachers are bemoaning the cultural influence of America
on Australian young, because the students no longer pronounce the last letter
of the alphabet as "Zed"--they say it like they hear it in American songs
and movies--"Zee."
-
Is all of this something for an American to brag about? Hardly! Most Americans
would apologize tonight for the moral decadence that gets exported to the
nations of the world through the productions of Hollywood and our entertainment
industry.
-
Nevertheless, IT IS NO COINCIDENT that at this time in history the United
States has emerged as the sole global superpower--politically, economically,
and socially.
-
Unrivaled and unchallenged. But why? And what will happen next? Read the
rest of the prophetic chapter!
-
For the Americans listening tonight, wouldn't it be wonderful if this apocalyptic
prediction ended with verse 11? But tragically this prophecy goes on to an
ending both sobering and finally, utterly sad. For it ends like a Shakespearean
tragedy for this nation that I love.
-
Yes, there was a divine destiny in our birth.
-
Yes, I do believe to the very depths of my being that God did indeed raise
up this nation over two hundred years ago, right on schedule with this
apocalyptic prophecy.
-
After all, it was to be a new, radically bold experiment "with liberty and
justice for all."
-
Begun by a mere handful and shipload of men and women and children who fled
to these shores in search of freedom.
-
And what did they long for? What were they looking for?
-
Illus: As one writer so aptly put it, they came in search of "a country without
a king and a church without a pope." The twin legacies of liberty in this
nation: civil liberty and religious liberty.
-
We have declared them to be our unalienable and God-given rights.
-
No other nation in the history of this planet has championed so powerfully
those twin legacies of the human race--civil and religious freedom--leading
some commentators to conclude that the two horns of this lamb-like beast
are indeed those twin legacies of civil freedom and religious liberty.
-
Illus: The words of Emma Lazarus inscribed on the Statue of Liberty in New
York's harbor have rung true in the breasts of this planet's exiles:
Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless,
tempest-tossed to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door! Land of the
free and home of the brave.
-
But something tragic goes wrong! At the very time she achieves global dominance
and influence, look what happens to her--reread vv. 11,12.
-
Please note that it is after the healing of the wound [and the wound of Rome
was healed in 1929] that the United States will achieve her global dominance
and sway. And so far, history is right on schedule.
-
Impossible, you say! This could never happen here, you exclaim!
-
For verse 12 is plain enough to understand that this second beast power is
going to become caught up with enforcing religious observance and worship--not
only with her own citizens, but even commanding the citizens of the planet
to worship and follow the first beast of this apocalyptic chapter.
-
And that is simply impossible, you note, since you are familiar with the
Constitution of the United States and have read the Bill of Rights.
-
Impossible that this nation would turn out as the Apocalypse predicts!
-
It does seem utterly impossible, doesn't it, at first glance and upon first
thought?
-
Illus: For I, too, have read the Bill of Rights. In fact, I have a facsimile
copy of it hanging on the wall behind my study desk.
-
Illus: The Bill of Rights is the first ten amendments to what one of the
greatest English prime ministers of all time, Gladstone, referred to as "The
most wonderful work ever struck off at a given time by the brain and purpose
of man."--the Constitution of the United States of America.
-
Illus: During her speech I heard Margaret Thatcher call it "the most marvelous
Constitution."
-
Illus: Let me read the First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting
an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or
abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people
peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for the redress of
grievances."
-
By the way, did you know that religion is only mentioned twice in the entire
document including the Bill of Rights: once in Article 6 where it is stated
that religion is not to be used as a test for public office, and then here
in the First Amendment.
-
Illus: Which leads my friend Clifford Goldstein, in his book The Saving of
America, to conclude:
The only time religion is mentioned in the Constitution is to stop the government
from making laws that would either establish, discriminate against, or prohibit
it. If the government is not allowed to make laws regarding religion, then
it will never be able to persecute or discriminate against on the basis of
religion. Here is the secret of America's great religious freedoms! (p. 37)
-
Thomas Jefferson called it the wall of separation between church and state,
between government and religion.
-
So how could the day ever come when this mighty freedom-loving nation would
ever abrogate or abandon this first amendment? The government of the United
States enforcing religious observance upon its citizens, and eventually upon
the citizens of the world? Impossible!
-
Until you begin to study a group of sincere, but sincerely wrong Americans
who have begun to tamper with the Bill of Rights.
-
Who are they? Listen to Penny Lernoux, Roman Catholic journalist, in her
book People of God:
In the United States fundamentalism is often associated with the movement
of born-again Christians who believe in the inerrancy of the Bible and the
doctrine of creationism. . . . Regardless of theological differences, religious
fundamentalists share certain characteristics, such as a reverence for authority
and fear of secularization--or 'secular humanism,' as the Vatican and U.S.
evangelicals call it. They also insist that they alone possess the truth,
and they usually align themselves with the political right. In the United
States they have been called the New Right to distinguish them from the
traditional forms of political and religious conservatism. Among the New
Right's activists are fundamentalist Catholics who yearn for an "old-time
religion," found today chiefly in the Polish pope's homeland, and who have
made common cause with [former president] Reagan's evangelical supporters
(Penguin Books, New York, 1989, pp. 10,11).
-
Anybody who reads and watches the news today knows that there is a rapidly
growing new religio-political coalition uniting Protestant, Catholic, and
Jewish Americans in a renewed attempt to spiritually reform America.
-
And there are many of us tonight who concur that America desperately needs
a moral reformation!
-
Interestingly enough, the rallying cry of this conservative coalition initially
began with a worthwhile cause: an anti-abortion battle in this nation.
-
Stop the wholesale slaughter of babies as a method of birth control.
-
Which is why Cardinal O'Connor of New York and James Dobson of Focus on the
Family and countless other well-known religious leaders have joined hands
in a concerted effort to outlaw abortion.
-
I, too, am opposed to the wholesale slaughter of human fetuses as a method
of birth control.
-
But I am intrigued by this strangely more than coincidental reality that
in this particular hour of history, there is what appears on the surface
to be an innocuous joining of some very strange bedfellows, as they clasp
hands together in a new common cause.
-
And if they work so well politically in this cause, I wonder what new moral
cause they will eventually find in which to effectively unite.
-
How serious are they? Listen now to Frederick Clarkson, an investigative
journalist based in Washington D.C., who frequently writes about the Religious
Right as he did in Church and State magazine:
When I slipped into the national leadership meeting of Pat Robertson's
[lawyer/minister and speaker/director of the Christian Broadcasting Network
and the nationally popular 700 Club] Christian Coalition, I thought I knew
what to expect. . . . But I was unprepared for what I saw, heard and felt
. . . for two days in November during the 'Road to Victory' Conference and
Strategy Briefing. . . . I was . . . surprised to see a rapidly growing,
technologically sophisticated religio- political organization, built largely
from Robertson's 1988 presidential campaign.
-
Who are the members of this Christian Coalition?
-
He continues:
The Christian Coalition claims it is an "issues-oriented" organization of
"Evangelicals, pro-family Catholics and their allies" working to "reverse
the moral decline in America and reaffirm our godly heritage." . . . Former
Reagan White House Domestic Policy chief (and now head of James Dobson's
Family Research Council [which is an obvious political action group in
Washington, D.C., whose newsletter is published by Focus on the Family])
Gary Bauer said, "Obviously this conference is about the ...elections. .
. . We are engaged in a social, political and cultural civil war."
-
Two powers united together to make war, does it sound familiar?
-
Of the first power, the Apocalypse declares--read v. 7
-
Of the second power, Revelation declares--read v. 12.
-
Mark it carefully: We are no longer dealing with some sort of back- water,
two-bit, red-neck fundamentalism in the New Christian Right.
-
They have become a very sophisticated religious-political alliance that,
by their own admission, is out for war!
-
Illus: I have corresponded with Dr. James Dobson, the founder and leader
of the most influential evangelical organization in the United States today,
Focus on the Family. (Someone apparently sent him a book I have written about
the rapidly fulfilling prophecies of Revelation 13, Countdown to the Showdown.
And he had shared with a mutual friend, his concerns. Hence our correspondence.)
-
And I have profound admiration for his very pro-family, pro- children,
pro-morality leadership on the radio and through his newsletters and books
(which I have read).
-
As he put it in one of his Focus on the Family newsletters: "The trends I've
reported in this letter should confirm for us . . . that the majority of
Americans believe in the Judeo-Christian system of values. [But] the civil
war is far from over, and the eventual outcome still hangs in the balance."
-
In a very real way, there is a very real sense of war, moral war, that grips
the hearts of millions of Americans tonight.
-
A moral and cultural war for heart and soul of society!
-
Who cannot resonate tonight with the longing of these religious- political
activists who pray for a day when the wholesale slaughter of human life can
be halted, when the moral hemorrhaging of America and the western world in
particular can be staunched, when rising tide of pornography and promiscuity
and perversion can be turned back from our homes and schools and lives?
-
The moral agenda of the Religious Right is right--God's Ten Commandments
shine with those timeless, universal values!
-
The moral agenda of the Religious Right is right--but the political strategy
of the Right is wrong.
-
And Revelation 13 describes the terrible consequences of a mutant beast power
that abandons its liberties and resorts to destructive coercion in order
to achieve its moral, spiritual agenda!
-
Read vv. 11-17.
-
Which is why I am so troubled by the growing movement in my own nation tonight
to create a constitutional amendment allowing prayer in American public schools!
-
Since when have American students needed a law to authorize them to pray
in school!
-
Every time there's been a math test, kids have prayed very earnestly--there
are no atheists in fox holes or before math tests!
-
But the moment the Christian Right starts demanding the political leverage
to command a law to pray will be the curtain call for the same
religious-political coalition's eventual desire to command the day on which
this nation should pray.
-
And as one who believes that the Bible is incontrovertibly clear-- contrary
to the majority practice in this country--that the seventh-day Sabbath is
the only day mandated by Scripture upon which to worship the Creator, you
can understand my deep personal concern for any coalition's attempt to introduce
worship at all into the United States constitution.
-
Because if their agenda begins with HOW to pray, what will keep them from
one day mandating WHEN to pray?
-
And by the way, this prophecy is clear--the worship agenda will not only
be the United States, but it will seek to impose that agenda on the entire
world.
-
Illus: Ladies and gentlemen, you don't have to be a rocket scientist or a
political scientist to have observed that we are witnessing tonight a global
resurgence of conservative, fundamentalist, religious-political alliances!
-
Look at Europe if you want an example of neo-fascist and neo- conservative
ascendency.
-
Look at the Middle East if you want an example of radical fundamentalism
in the Islamic world.
-
Look at India if you wish to observe the same resurgence of conservative
religious and political alliances.
-
Look at Japan, look at Korea.
-
Look at the continent of Africa tonight.
-
It is not a coincidence that living in the final chapters of human civilization
as we are tonight, we can readily observe a global religio-- political
conservatism that provides the perfect interface for the fulfillment of this
prophecy that portrays the United States as the global moral enforcer and
leader.
-
THE WHOLE PLANET IS SET UP TONIGHT FOR THE RAPID DEPLOYMENT AND FULFILLMENT
OF REVELATION 13!
-
And that's the point of Revelation 13--if this prophecy means anything at
all- -IT IS COMING--the eventual global enforcement of worship through the
alliance of the two final superpowers--one a religious superpower (which
turns to politics to achieve its ends) and the other a political superpower
(which turns to religion to achieve its ends)--but both joined in a common
quest for world dominance.
-
Reread vv. 11,12.
-
Talking about a new world order--that will be it in the end!
-
Rome and America and you and me.
-
And whom shall we obey--you and I in the end?
-
I wish to leave with you the words of the Apostle Peter--under arrest himself
for refusing to submit to the religious-political, church-state coalition
of his day--he fearlessly uttered this immortal confession--Acts 5 (p
1056)--words to live by for this rest of your life--here in Acts 5:17-19,
25-29.
-
For the follower of Christ and the friend of God, there is no other way.
-
"WE MUST OBEY GOD RATHER THAN MEN."
-
Because in the end--and the end may be nearer than we first imagined--in
the end no government, no alliance, no nation, no church, no power, no person
has the right to command your worship or dictate our consciences.
-
For your friendship with God takes precedent over every other
relationship--personal or national--in this life.
-
"WE MUST OBEY GOD RATHER THAN MEN."
-
Illus: Long ago a giant schooner plied the seven seas.
-
Along with the experienced crew of sailors and old salts there was aboard
this particular journey a new, rooky sailor.
-
One windswept day upon the high seas, the captain yelled out to the rooky:
"Hey boy, how about climbing the mast and seeing if you can spot land for
me."
-
The rooky obeyed, grabbed a small telescope, and shinnied his way up the
tall, swaying wooden mast.
-
But once atop that towering pole, the young sailor looked in vain for any
sight of land--and reporting that there was no land to be seen, the man began
his descent.
-
But alas, in scrambling down the rigging in that gusty wind, the sailor lost
his hold and began to tumble wildly into the air.
-
The crew below gasped as they witnessed the fall--THEN THEY CHEERED as the
young man caught hold of a dangling robe and grabbed onto it!
-
BUT THEIR CHEERS DIED IN THEIR THROATS--FOR THE ROPE THE YOUNG SAILOR HAD
GRABBED WAS NOT CONNECTED TO ANYTHING.
-
And he fell to his death on the deck below.
-
My friend, as we have made our way through the Apocalypse once again--
-
As we have been reminded over and over in this lectureship that we are living
the most tenuous and tentative hour of human history--
-
As we confronted the mounting evidence that we as a civilization are living
on the brink of earth's final showdown
-
SURELY it has occurred to us all that IF EVER THERE WERE A TIME for us to
be holding on securely to the Hand of God, it is this hour!
-
God knows the ropes that we as humans futilely cling to--ropes of financial
security, ropes of personal ambition, ropes of political hope.
-
BUT ALAS, LIKE THE YOUNG SAILOR, EVERY ROPE WE GRAB too often has proven
to be connected to nothing that can hold us and help us through the raging
storm ahead.
-
But there is someone who stands in our midst today--with His nail-scarred
hands outstretched to us--TAKE MY HAND....TRUST MY WORD....AND LET ME GIVE
YOU HOPE AND PEACE.
-
Illus: I love Christ's promise in Rev. 3:20 and I wish to conclude with it
tonight (p 1177).
-
Rome--America--the New World Order--let those unholy alliances be formed.
-
There is only One Hand that can save us--One Hope that we can cling to.
-
"I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK--IF ANYONE HEARS MY VOICE--LET HIM, LET HER
OPEN THE DOOR AND I WILL COME IN!"
-
While there is time, my friend, won't you open the door and invite Him to
come in?
Let us pray:
Dear God--we live in a world that is rapidly accelerating its mad dash to
its apocalyptic ending. Jesus is soon to return. No matter the alliances
that are forming all around us as a nation, as people--how grateful we are
that there is one rope that we CAN cling to, one Hand that we CAN hold to--that
will never fail us in the end. In the quiet of this moment grant that every
man and woman here will open the heart and reach out the hand to invite Him
to come in--the only One that can bring us hope and peace for our lives,
our marriages, our careers, our survivals, our present and our future. We
need Jesus, dear God, more than anything else in this world. Please come
into all of our lives I pray. In His Name, Amen.
