Darwin's Black Box

Can you give me the information on the book Pastor Dwight used in his lecture on Darwin’s Black Box?

Darwin's Black Box : The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution
by Michael J. Behe
Paperback - 320 pages (March 1998) ; Touchstone Books; ISBN: 0684834936
Hardcover - 307 pages (August 1996) ; Free Pr; ISBN: 0684827549

Book Description

Virtually all serious scientists accept the truth of Darwin's theory of
evolution. While the fight for its acceptance has been a long and difficult
one, after a century of struggle among the cognoscenti the battle is over.
Biologists are now confident that their remaining questions, such as how
life on Earth began, or how the Cambrian explosion could have produced so
many new species in such a short time, will be found to have Darwinian
answers. They, like most of the rest of us, accept Darwin's theory to be
true.

Was it Jesus that created the world or was it God? When the Bible says God, does it mean Jesus?

Jesus is always who is referred to in the Bible when it says God, unless God the Father or God the Holy Spirit are explicitly mentioned. Support for this is as follows:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." (John 1:1-3)

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)

Where do the dinosaurs fit in?

Your question has been posed by more than Hollywood and remains one of the questions many are intrigued by. I will give some insights and leave it to you for further study.

In the past year, media have reported that far more of the dinosaurs than heretofore thought were vegetarian, unlike the picture Hollywood would have us believe. [I'm sorry I do not have any specific reference to provide.]

One position posited by the Institute of Creation Science is that the dinosaurs went on Noah's Ark; but the pre-flood atmosphere had changed so drastically after the flood, that the dinosaurs could not survive in the post-flood environment and therefore became extinct.

One thing we do know for certain is that all of the creatures that God created did go onto the ark.

There is some evidence that Satan contaminated and altered God's creation. For example, in Matthew 13, Jesus answers in verses 27, 28 that "An enemy hath done this." Satan not only sowed and sows spiritual tares but all the noxious weeds are traced to him, likewise the seeds of disease and death, sown when he tempted Adam successfully to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It would follow that Satan tampered with the animal creation in like manner.

The
Devil is very clever, a fallen angel, and very evil. He has invented ingenious methods of amalgamation in both plant and animal world, including amalgamating of beast with man, defacing the image of God in man.

Jesus warns that as in the days of Noah, so shall it be when the Son of Man comes the second time. (Matthew 24:37-39)

Today we find this less preposterous to believe, as we have already tasted of genetic engineering to degrees that concerns an ethical and moral society.

Whether the dinosaurs were the result of the devil's amalgamations, whether they actually went on the ark or were destroyed by the flood, is not conclusively answered in the Bible. I do encourage you to do a study on "leviathan" in your Concordance, if you have one and have not already done this :-)
