October 2006 - Thanks to Peter Miller, you should be able to download the most recent sermons now. We are also anticipating that the Prophecy Seminar talks will also be available.
July 8, 2005 - I've recently added the capabilites to view the Power Points from our March 2005 series on current events. The Sermons have not been working properly as they are such large files. I'm attempting to fix that within the next few updates.
June 5, 2005 - Here's the new design for the website for now. I'll probably still be working on changes to the layout and there are many more developments that need to happen on some of the new pages, but here it is for now. My mom did a great job of updating every week, but now that she has the real program to edit it, we don't have to stick to such a basic design.
If the site doesn't look that different to you, here's a list of some of the changes I made this week.
1. Changed the banner/heading
2. Reorganized the Navigation Menu
3. Restructured main page with columns
4. Added a MapQuest link for people to print out directions online.
5. Created a comment box for visitors to contact us or the pastor.
6. Added the "History" page...somehow it got lost before and I was able to recover it off my old computer.
7. Transitioned the photo gallery to an external server.
8. Added the "Organizations" page to consolidate several small pages>
9. Added capabilities to download weekly sermons online!
10. Redesigned the links page.
Things still on the way: Accessibility to PowerPoint Presentations from our endtime forum, construction slideshow, calendar, a word from our pastor, and community involvement page.
January 15. 2005 - This is my first attempt at updating this portion of the website. I know I don't have a bullet and that the color is wrong but, oh well.
Since our last update, we have added a beautiful new drive under porch to the front of our church. The old concrete slab was torn up and a frost-proof slabbed/re-poured. Then the covered porch was installed. It's not quite finished but it has been much appreciated by all, especially on those raining/snowy days.
We also produced a Christmas CD by all the musically talented members of our congregation. A benefit concert was held and almost $6000.00 raised to go towards our new fellowship hall. We're all getting excited about that.
Sadly, on January 15, one of most beloved members, Hugh Smead, passed away. We were all saddened at his passing but are glad he was able to be at home surrounded by his family. In his last days, he was relieved of the onset of terrible pain in his legs and so was able to die comfortably. We all look forward to Jesus' return so we can greet our brother who will no doubt be running towards us on strong, healthy legs.
June 16, 2004 - Well at long last the website is being updated again. The FTP program I use to upload the webpage was completely overtaken by some nasty adware/spyware, and thus inhibited us from doing any updating. When I returned from school for summer vacation, I cleared out the spyware, and installed an web design program for my mom. This will make it easier for her to change the pages when I leave! I'd left her the previous two years with updating HTML. If you know anything about HTML, you know it's a little indistinguishable at first. My mom has done a great job for not knowing anything about web design previously...thanks, Mom! Anyways...she'll be able to do this all in WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get)...basically, she'll be able to see what she's doing on the actual page rather than </a><b>Help!</b> <a href=help.htm <a/> all that sort of stuff....lol... So look for more frequent updates!
July 13, 2002 - Well, the website is completely different now, as you've probably guessed. I've downsized the size of the pages, making them into frames pages, and of course the background and font is different. I figured it was time for a change. =) The information is all there, maybe a few new things here and there, like the photo on the front page. Same pictures, better quality and bit of 3D attached. The Construction Photo Album wasn't very visible on the first version, but it's there on the navigation bar now. So if you missed it the first version, go check it out now. I'm in the process of scanning new pictures for it. So...! Let me know what you think of the new design...good? bad? don't care? ha ha. Leave a message in the guestbook or email me.
June 19, 2002 - I installed a feature that prevents the homepage, bulletin page, upcoming events, and this page from being cached. Most browsers will cache (save in a temporary file offline) pages to speed up loading on each visit, but when a site like this changes every week, it is possible some browsers will show the old content instead of the updated button. Instead of having to hit Refresh every time you visit this page, it will automatically have the new content for you. These pages may load slower than normal, but I don't think that will be much of a problem, since they are mostly text (only the banner and the buttons will have to load, really). If you have a complaint about the speed of the pages, feel free to email me or leave a message in the guestbook, and I'll consider changing the pages back. By the way, I DO have a guestbook now. Several members of the church have commented that it might be nice to have a guestbook for this page, since people other than our own members have been visiting this site (relatives, acquaintances, etc.). So please, sign it! Even if you are a member of the church, go ahead and sign; it will be fun to see what you say!
April 20, 2002 - There have been some problems recently with viewing new pages. If the content on this site appears to be older than a couple of weeks, please hit the Refresh button on your browser (standard in most IE browsers) and the new page should load.
March 24, 2002 - Well, obviously, the site was updated by not this page! Sorry about that. I again apologize for the lack of updates the past few weeks...my FTP server wasn't functioning correctly, disabling me to upload new pages, etc. since that is the only way TAGnet allows data and file transfer. Anyways, some updated things. There are some new pictures in the Pathfinders photo album from the Valentine's banquet in February. Thank you to Paul and Mary Miller for donating them! You can see the pictures here.
January 5, 2001 - I have to apologize for the inconsistency with updating the site. Over the holidays it has been very difficult to get online to upload. Thanks for being patient. There are new pictures under the Construction page. You can visit them here. They are actually from quite a while ago when the church was first being built. Thank you to Joan MacBeth for lending me these pictures. Joan has been wonderful in documenting our church's growth on film! Also, I received an email from a Glen Walker, promoting his online book, Prophecy Made Easy. I have yet to read it, but I would encourage everyone to look at it. You can go the the site here or on the Links page.
November 11, 2001 - Check out the new pictures! You can find them under the Construction page, under Photo Album. Thanks very much to Matt Brodis for the pictures. The Bulletin page has been redesigned and the Upcoming Events has more announcements.
November 3, 2001 - Updated the pages, added to the Adventurers page. Please visit the Upcoming Events page...there are a lot of new events to be looked at. November 11 is a busy day!
October 20, 2001 - The History page has been updated. Thanks to Paul Miller for writing the article.
October 4, 2001 - Added new links.
October 12, 2001 - Added some new pictures to the Pathfinder's Photo Album. |
