Fair Booth Evangelism ( Proposed )

Overview:

This award allows the Adventurer and the Parent to utilize an
easy method of acquiring Bible study interests from people who
attend the local fair. The method, in its simplest form, is to
have sign-up sheets available, and a box to put them in. This
has been done with much success at many fairs, most of the time
in conjunction with drawings for Bibles, Cookbooks, Children's
story books, etc ... Many different types of Bible studies can
be utilized ( Amazing Facts booklets, Discover guides, in-home,
audio and/or video tapes, etc ... ).

After the fair is over, each Adventurer would be responsible for
at least 4 study interests ( if more sign up, as is usually the
case, these can be given to other Adventurer Families, or the
Personal Ministries leader for follow-up ). Drop off type of Bible
studies are usually more effective if delivered in person,
rather than by mail.

Requirements:

• Before the fair starts:
  1. Make nice looking containers for the Bible study requests
  2. Make signs to promote the activity at the booth
  3. Help to set-up the fair booth
  4. Place the fair booth on daily prayer list
• During the fair:
  1. Continue praying for the fair booth daily
  2. Help with the running of the booth ( at least 1 hr/day for 2 days )
     • Can be used in conjunction with the Balloon Art requirement:
  3. Make sure there are enough sign-up cards and pens available
• After the fair:
  1. Continue praying daily for the people that have signed up
  2. Personally oversee the studies for 4 people by keeping track of:
     • What studies they have received, and when they received them
     • By who and when the next studies are to be delivered.
• Give a short testimony at your church to include:
  • How each of the studies are progressing.
  • Requests for prayer for those taking the studies.
  • Award will be earned after:
    1. All 4 interests terminate their studies - or -
    2. 60 days after the first study has been delivered to all 4 interests
  • Send a report detailing the completion of the above requirements.
    1. Include picture of fair booth
    2. Include copy of study tracking sheet

  Goals and Objectives:

  • Allow fair go-ers to sign-up for Bible studies.
  • Cultivate a evangelistic spirit in the Adventurer
