Shirley,

Will it be possible for you to do us a big favour and inquire from Dr
van Zyl about SA SDA history?
That's my humble request.

He is coming!

Friends,

I agree with Daniel, I wish I could say that we have already made our
decision on the topics last week, however, that will be against the
flexibility that we talked about earlier and I have noticed that
there seem to be no interest in these two subjects that I suggested.
Now, will change gears:

Here are the new topics for discussion:

1. We will continue with 'the dead who are living' from last week.
2. Salvation (all three phases) and The Gospel Commission, (as Daniel
suggested)

Daniel, will you so kind and present your views again on the gospel
&salvation topic.

He is still coming!

Jeremiah

Friends,

I'm sorry that I could not introduce myself last week. We had a serious
problem with our network. I had no contact with the outside world, but
thank God it is fine this morning and your messages were safe.

My name is Daniel Bafana Dlongolo. It is interested to note that I share
my Zulu name with Boyce and that we are both third-born sons. My friends
call me Dan. I was born in Standerton, Mpumalanga Province, exactly thirty
years ago. My marital status has not changed since I was born, but Betty
is promising to help me change it soon. I look forward to having my first
child which will hopefully be a daughter.

I did by Bsc Hons in Computational & Applied Maths at Wits
University in Johannesburg three years ago and am now employed by
4GL Systems as a computer programmer. My membership is at Dennilton
Church (Mpumalanga) but I worship at Jo'burg North, Central or Wits.
I am not stable yet.

Over the past few months I have developed a special interest in Adventist
history and the gospel in general.

Still waiting for the Second Return

Daniel

I would also like to suggest Dr. Tony Pantalone.

He received his doctorate in SA - Church history from UDW at the beginning
of this year.

I've spoken to him and he is very interested. It would be good if somebody
(perhaps less familiar) could e-mail him and invite his comments. I am sure
he will agree to give some inputs.

his email is A Pantalone

I wonder if somebody could tell me approximately how many church members we
have in the Southern Africa Union.

I've heard figures ranging from 30 - 60 thousand.

Thank you

Mashudu,

I know what it is but I just thought it wise to let us use
understandable lingo since this is more of a discussion platform for
everyone.

I guess it will help if we keep our language more simple and simple.

Dear Friends,

It is not good to have a 'quiet' discussion list, so this week has
also been declared an open week. We can discuss whatever we like.

This what I think we should do, let the discussions follow naturally
and then we will focus on some of the topics that seem to attract
members interests.

Everybody ought to know who Jesus is!
