It was a great day of victory for Jesus, when
the Chetty family was baptized into the Seventh-day
Adventist church, as a direct result of the
"health Tent" Ministry operated by the
Laudium Church in Pretoria. The Health Tent, is the
Church's unique outreach ministry to the Laudium
Community. It is operated by dedicated members of the
church as a service. The tent is highly regarded and
has achieved remarkable results beyond expectation,
breaking down walls and barriers attracting a large
number of people, including Hindus and Muslims. These
people are fascinated and highly complimentary of the
fantastic work done in the Health Tent.
The tent offers a very user-friendly service
by way of free tests-- blood pressure, sugar level,
weight control and cholesterol tests. Test results
are recorded on documentation that is specially
designed to collect strategic personal information,
that is handed to trained counselors to help them
counsel accordingly to meet individual needs. This is
the main purpose of the Health Tent, to meet the
public and to share our rich health messages and
precious truths in the hope of making contacts and
winning souls. This last stage is to book individuals
for various seminars according to their needs.
Amongst the many that came for a check-up was
Brother Chetty. The tent staff showed him much love,
care and attention. After a while he and his family
attended a family life seminar, where Dr Wilmot was
the invited speaker. It was in this seminar that he
got to know that we are Christians, and became
interested in us in a serious way. The Family Life
Seminar culminated in a Revelation Seminar conducted
by Pastor Naidoo, and in this seminar he and his
family decided to accept Jesus Christ and join the
Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The Chetty's received studies and on 11
November 1995, they were baptized at Sunnyside church
with other precious souls from Eersterust and Rabie
Ridge to the glory of God.
We at Laudium give all thanks to Jesus for
winning this precious family through the instrument
of the Health Tent Ministry, a breakthrough that was
long overdue, marking a new era, resulting in a
revival in the church. Pray for us. We provide this
service free. All expenses are borne by the Laudium
congregation.
If you feel moved to assist us in maintaining
this important outreach, please contact Pastor Ken
Naidoo at telephone/fax (012) 370 4013, e-mail ken@fast.co.za or write to us at PO Box 13215, Laudium
0037.
