A LOOK INSIDE:
Sweet friendship.
Santa Clara, Cuba
“Sweet friendship” was the title of a special program dedicated
to the Adventist Children’s Day, celebrated Sabbath October 30th
in Santa Clara, by Children Ministry.
We could enjoy the participation of the kids in the Sabbath School program
and in the adoration service. They performed two dramas: the story of
David and Goliat and “The gentle king”, this last one as a
preamble of the sermon “Jesus, the lawyer of the kids” in
charge of Mr. Emilio Alfonso, Sub-pastor and leader of children in this
church. “Have Jesus as your best friend, because he loves you so
much that he died for you. What kind of friend would do this?” was
the message by the Directress of Children Ministry in Santa Clara, Mrs.
Elizabeth Mesa, to all children here abroad.
“Antesala Sabatina” celebrated
its 5th anniversary.
Santa Clara, Cuba
Friday, October 8th Communication Department of Santa Clara Church celebrated
the 5th anniversary of Antesala Sabatina, a radio broadcasting program
which was launched October, 1999. It is launched every Friday from a little
audio cabin in the temple, before the youth programming. This is the first,
and unique radiobroadcast of the Cuban Union. This day we also had the
presentation of a video, about the Crusade of “La Voz de la Esperanza”
(The Voice of Hope Ministry) through Central Delegation January 18 –
19, 2004.
In this occasion, the program was not presented from the cabin, but
in the temple room itself, to every people could see how does the program
is made. The praising music was presented by local groups. Special thanks
was given to all those who have contributed to enrich the program in these
5 years.
The actual president and speaker, Ananay Bernal, expressed: “Thought
I’m leading this broadcast program for just a year, but speaker
for more time, I’m very glad to see this 5th anniversary. This is
a challenge to get better the programming, with the only objective of
praising our Creator, and also to be nicer among the preference to all
the listeners who come to the church every Friday, 8:30 pm.”
Missionary Leader’s Meeting
Santa Clara, Cuba
October 2. Leaders and pastors of Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Villa
Clara province were gathered to point details of “Living his Life”
Evangelistic Program, with Pastor Carlos J. Madrigal Leader of Personal
Ministry of Central Delegation.
This meeting started at 9:00 am and run trough 4:00 pm. We shared the
Sabbath School lesson, service in charge of Pr. Samuel Díaz, some
workshops and seminaries, finishing with a special lunch.
In the afternoon, were presented some doubts concerning to the Evangelistic
Program, and churches interchanged their respective ideas. The Sagua church
standed out as a better report in this interchange. (See the news “Sagua
Living His Life).
“Living His Life” is the name for the Missionary Program
2004 – 2005. In attract attention to our World President Jan Paulsen’s
words: “mission is not something what we do, but something what
we live. “When we become living evangelistics, everyone will know
the truth a Jesus is”- expressed Pr. Carlos Madrigal, referring
to this plan, in which Central Delegation has pointed a goal of 800 souls
to baptize with the Almighty power.”
“Sagua Living His Life”
Sagua la Grande Adventist Church is very active in “living His
Life” Evangelistic Program, for than reason it has developed various
activities to prepare the membership. In the last meeting of Missionary
Leaders, October 2, its leader Hadiel Perugorría exposed the spiritual
and techinic preparation of leader and members, in the morning services
for praying, projection of videos in the house-churches and also visiting
parish in August/September.
For future plan he said will be make a week of Spiritual Emphasis “The
Present Truth”, continue with fasting, praying and watching as Spiritual
Support, getting into unentered areas of the city and other near zones:
Quemado de Güines and Isabela communion will close the week.
With secure steps walking upon the rock, this church doesn’t stop
before the opportunity of reaching souls to Jesus, with His help they
are planning to reach 12 souls.
