A LOOK INSIDE:

Youth Meetings

On May 15 - 22 were developed the Youth Meetings entitled “You have done it to me” here in Santa Clara. Topics were presented by different youth every evening, in some ocations one preacher, sometimes two of them. We were no lacking of what is usual in our youth: the joy, sense of humor, initiatives and above all spirituality in each sermon. Sorprise section and music were also presented.

Our temple had the presence of great number of friends and members, who followed the meeting until Sabbath 22 in the morning, were the sermon on the Parable of the sower was presented by two youths: Aldrick Mesa, who participed on the 1998 Pathfinder Camporee of the IAD, and Yosvel Águila, who was elected to represent the Cuban Union on the next Campaign in Trinidad-Tobago.

Mother’s Day in Santa Clara

On Sunday May 9 was celebrated the Mother’s Day in Santa Clara. With a special programming were given honor to theses special people, and were given a congratulation card. The evening service had the topic: Appraise your mother, for all she has done for you.

Great Celebrations

In the mark of the century of Adventism in Cuba, Santa Clara Church will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the rebuilding of its temple; whis was made on June 16, 1984.

To these great celebrations, leadership and membership of the church have decided to develop some varied programming. Keep in touch with our news to know about these Great Celebrations.

Costume Party in Santa Clara

On Saturday, May 1, at 8:30 p.m. was held the first Costume Party sponsored by Youth Ministry of this church. If had the participation of 33 youth, who made their costumes by themselves.

The jury had a hard task to elect the winners, due to the quality of the costumes, that’s why was made a recognition to all of them. The winners were: 1st place to Pedro Turiño, 2nd place Ictiandro Jímenez, 3rd place to Ada Belkis Gándara. Was given a prize to the most popular costume: the painter of “Negroes” Rebeca Mesa and Carlos Gándara.

This social activity was a great contribution to the healthy joy of Christian youth. Before this, who can say that Christian people do not have ways to recreate?
