Central Delegation, Cuba: Annual Camporee
by Pathfinders.
Céspedes, Camagüey
More than 200 kids with the leaders were present at the “Villa
Teresita” Camp in Céspedes, Camagüey to celebrate an
Annual Camporee, entitled “Jesus my Super-Hero”, leading by
Pr. Gilberto Moral on August 29 – 31.
The 14 Pathfinder clubs demonstrated the acquired abilities by the systematic
training in the respective churches.
The best clubs were: first place to Florida and 2nd place to “Orion”
Club, Santa Clara.
“Our Club is indeed one of the best, last year we got the 1st place,
at this time we’re go the 2nd, but we’re very joyful, because
this have shown that our club has been a sample to the other clubs of
the Delegation, they have been training hard and I hope all of them can
obtain top places in this preparation to serve the Lord” said Rebeca
Mesa, directress of Pathfinders Club of Santa Clara.
“This is a time of model-crisis, when mankind tends to imitate
whatever or some people. That’s why Jesus raises as a Super-hero;
to lead humanity, and our kids prefer him”. Was the message expressed
by Pastor Samuel Díaz, Pastor of Santa Clara Church and leader
of District 3 of Central Delegation.

“Vivangelismo” Activities in
Ciego de Ávila
August 14 – 15 was developed in Ciego de Ávila a Festival
of Youth, Lays and Pastors from the Central Delegation to prepare leaders
who can face the challenges of a new ecclesiastic year which is next to
start.
Were present Pastor Jonathan Kuntaraf, Associate Director of Personal
Ministry from the General Association; Carlos Bayne, Director of Personal
Ministries from the Inter-American Division; Luis Fajardo, Director of
Global Mission, IAD; from the Cuban Union were participating Daniel Fontaine,
president; and Pedro Torres, Youth Ministry Director, and some other leaders
from the 47 churches of the Central Delegation.
The programming was based on seminaries, sermons, praising music, such
as the launching of the strategy for Evangelism 2005 by Pr. Fontaine.
Pastor Carlos J. Madrigal prepared some resources needed to the beginning
and development of the Evangelistic Plan “Vivangelismo”, he
gave it a name of ‘Evangelistic Package” which contain: Visitors
control book, CD or cassette with some praising songs, slips, and a magazine
with some orientations about the different stages: Preparation, Sowing,
Harvest and Retaintion.
When concluded one of his seminaries, Pr. Kuntaraf exhorted the leaders
to continue the labor the Lord has called them to, with the surety of
the victory. He expressed: “We’ve go to remember that or General
is Christ Jesus, and we can be victorious till the day of his coming”.
To Pastor Fajardo, also was a satisfaction being in our country, he
expressed: “It is a great privilege to me being again in this warm
land of Cuba, warms in all senses of the word, the warmness of all the
siblings, their loyalty and inspiration”. “As you know, we
have visited you during some years before, but at this time we came to
support you in these Lays Festivals, in this moment in the city of Ciego
de Ávila, to present seminaries and to receive inspiration with
the special music that you have here in Cuba.”
Referring to the work of our church in the IAD (Inter-American Division)
he said: “This church is making “Vivangelismo”, which
means a different style of living, we probably were doing this before,
but now give it a definition, in other words, “Vivangelismo”
means to live the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, is to live that gospel
in every moment, at every place, not only when you’re preaching,
when you are giving Bible studies, it is more than that, “Vivangelismo”
is communion with the Lord, is an engagement, is to live for the Lord.”
When he was asked about the activities of Global Mission, he said: “In
this moment Global Mission is making about 900 campaigns all over the
world, we’ve go to 600 in Inter-America, about 300 in Africa, and
the rest between Asia and Eastern Europe. As the result of this evangelism,
last year were baptized more than 700 000 souls in the 7th Day Adventist
Church.”
“Global Mission makes evangelism in two ways: one, promotes the
regular evangelism that we already know; second, it trains new preachers
with no experience, who can make this work when they return to their places.”
Speaking about future plans to Cuban Union, he expressed: “Next
campaigns, sponsored by Pastor Folkenberg and Global Mission will receive
more than 100 people, who will be located in different parts of the country.
So, Cuba will be light with this evangelism on January 14 to 21, 2005.”
Our leader of Personal Ministries, Pastor Madrigal, also expressed his
impression about this event, and a message to all leaders: “This
meeting is the precious moment the Holy Spirit has used to join us more,
in order to get what we have not gain yet in this Delegation. Let’s
go a year forward, and let’s see, by faith, and Adventist people
more numerous and many others coming to this family.”
Among the projections of this Central Delegation are to follow and promote
the orientations given in this meeting in September and October, the workshop
pf Small Groups in Santa Clara Church (October 8,9) and Ciego de Ávila,
and the 1st Workshop of Sabbath School, November 19 – 21 at Garrido
Church, Camagüey.
800 souls for Jesus is the goal that Central Delegation has pointed
for year 2005. We ask for the prayers of all our readers, so we can keep
gaining souls to Christ and living as he did.
Summer Plan in Santa Clara

to Rancho Luna and Ancon Beach; and some others. All these activities
pointed to make youths of the Adventist Church enjoy this summer in a
