"And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wind of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb." Revelation 14:9-10

The door of grace, mercy and peace is still open. No one has the mark of the beast at this present time, but it is soon to come. That time is very rapidly approaching. Known only to God the time is appointed and when it does come all will have already made their decision as to whether they follow the true Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God or the beast (Antichrist) and his image. The issue will be clear and the judgment is certain.

These seven sermons on... World Wide... have not been presented to frighten, scare, cause you to panic and certainly not to condemn anyone. They are give in love and with a prayer that God will use them to encourage those who already understand the subject and through the working of the Holy Spirit and His love will awaken those who have never heard and understood the prophecies on the subject. With a blanket statement spoken in love, we hope you can perceive that this sermon as well as all the Biblical teachings appearing in the Hour of Prophecy are presented in a sweet spirit of love and meekness. These sermons have been given on our daily radio broadcast, not to threaten, but to warn the listening audience of last day events and help prepare souls for the Kingdom of God. That is our purpose.

In Revelation 14 we find the Scriptures giving us the messages of the three angels, but it is in Revelation 13 that we find the substance, the central meaning of the subject, "the mark of the beast, the image of the beast and the change of the character of the image." We also see again that the mark will be given over and because of the worship of the beast and his image. (See Revelation 13:4 and Revelation 14:9) In these two chapters the prophecies are given to awaken the world in the last days just before the return of our Lord. The language is clear and shocking as the beast and his mark are described and identified. Yes, awesome and shocking, but true.

God is erecting signs in the prophecies of His Word. These signs in prophecy are getting our attention. They are giving us time to prepare. They are given as a warning to the whole populated planet earth. The signs are here, but they are not the actual mark of the beast.

Burma Shave Signs: Some of us remember the old Burma Shave Signs. I learned how to read those signs and every time I saw them, I read them aloud. I remember how they were erected. They would tack up a few worlds on a sign along the road. Then go a little ways and tack up another sign and then another sign and right down at the end were the word, "Burma Shave." They got your attention and then named the item, "Burma Shave." That is what Jesus did with His great miracles in the Gospel of John. He performed the miracles as signs, saying I am the Son of God.

One of the Burma Shave signs read, "A peach with a lot of fuzz is pretty, but man is not a peach and never was." And then the two words, "Burma Shave." Another sign read, "he who drinks from the bottle should not control the throttle." And the two words, "Burma Shave."

Revelation erects a large number of signs calling for the attention of everyone in the last days. Friends, can we not see in the Holy Scriptures that God is sending a message, today. Two of these signs are found in the verses below and they are signs having to do with the Mark of the Beast, the Worship of the Beast, and the Worship of the Image.

Revelation 14:7 "...and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."

Revelation 14:12 "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."

Two signs related to the mark of the beast,

the seal of God, the worship of the beast,

and the worship of the image.

1. Literal creation as taught in the Genesis account. Last month, the sermon had to do with creation as it is stated in Genesis 1 and 2. In six literal days, the Lord created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1-31)

2. The second great sign is the Son of God. The faith of Jesus as John writes in Revelation 14:12. Now, friends, the two outstanding signs that point to God, the Creator are His Son and His Sabbath and it will be these two points of Bible teaching that divide the people of the earth in the end time. One group will reject and deny these Bible doctrines and receive the mark of the beast. They will worship the beast and they will worship the image of the beast. This group will be lost.

The second group will accept the Lord Jesus Christ fully as the virgin born Son of God and believe in His righteousness, His saving grace, His resurrection from the tomb and His return for the people of God. This group will receive the seal of God and be saved eternally.
