She Forgot

The journey of Jesus was far,
He longed for a drink from a jar.
The day was so hot,
The woman forgot,
When he told her the facts like they are.

She wore a Samaratan dress,
Her life was a terrible mess,
The water was clear,
And Jesus was here,
I wonder if I would do less.

I wonder if I would forget
With all of my guilt and my debt
Would I quench his thirst
If my life I traversed
If Jesus my Lord and I met?
