The prophecy sure like a lamp
Illumines our way where ere we tramp.

Shines in the dark and brings to view
Some things old and some things new

And we do well to heed this light
Because of darkness of the night

In second Peter one nineteen
And twenty two this truth is seen

"Let him that readeth understand"
St. Matthew says is Gods command

If in the holy place there stand
To contradict Gods plain command

These, are prophecies we should read
And Matthew warns all to take heed

In twenty four and verse fifteen
This is the message we should glean

Nebuchadnezzar had a dream
And strove to know that holy theme

The secret things he sought to know
That God in heaven cause to show

These things we read in Daniel two
To lighten all the whole world through

Thou Oh, king art this head of gold
And of thy riches all are told

Then Media Persian silver rule
Used by heaven as a tool

After which is a rule of brass
Of bright and shiny brilliant class

Another kingdom strong as iron
Shall on the earth her courses run

To break in pieces and subdue
The like of which no one then knew

Over the line this nation then
Became divided into ten

For God in heaven rules and reigns
And all war knows their campaigns

The feet divided into toes
That never more together grows.
