That makes the sinner new;
Freeing the soul of sin and strife
Making a Christian, true.

O, is for ours to have and own
A conscience and a will
That heeds the way that God has shown
A voice so mild and still.

W, in the center stands
Between the o and e
Of course we owe the Lord our hands
We surely must agree.

E, is for energy and light
Energy to work for those
Who have wandered far from heaven bright
With joy that heaven knows.

R, is for those who pause to read
Or else they could not shine
Leaving with God their every need
They trust in God’s word divine.
