Meet The Tempter There

Gods message is His word divine,
Words that come a world to light.
A halo that makes faces shine,
Joy in knowing they are right.

This is that union Christ would see,
This is what makes Jesus glad.
When I’m in Him and He’s in me,
Oh, it makes the Devil mad.

But here is refuge all may find,
Safety from temptations spear.
Gods angels shield a word filled mind,
Though the world is fraught with fear.

The Saviour proved just what it took,
When He answered from the word,
He met the tempter from the Book,
With points that have all heaven stirred.
