Lifes
Castle
Life is a castle and a swoosh,
And there is nothing, all is vain,
The waves come in and give a push,
And gone our castle and our pain.
Our labor here men may accept,
But think again if God were here,
Would He be kind to hopes Ive kept.
How would he view my vows each year?
Must I be always as a child?
Just building till the tide comes in,
And now with cherished hopes defiled,
Will God accept a one with sin?
What is the fiat from Gods throne?
He that is holy, filthy or foul,
Probations hour comes and lifes flown,
No other sea waves come and prowl.
This print, this castle is to last,
The seal is in the Book of Life,
There comes at last lifes holicost,
That ends forevermore our strife.
So let this castle that I build,
Be not a castle of earths mould,
But let it be one like one skilled,
By God who trades in precious gold.
Christ is the rock on which we stand,
He stood the swirl of Satans wrath,
All other hope is shifting sand,
All the apostles had this bath.
Not as a child but as a man,
But still with child like trust,
Let us press on and fill Gods plan,
Through savage waves at us are thrust.
Trust in a God who made the waves,
Who brings our ship to heavens shore
Christ is the only one who saves
He treads the waves beyond the roar.
Life is a castle and a swoosh,
And there is nothing, all is vain,
Life is a catle and a push
Jesus will come and forever reign.
