Let Us Learn To Let Him Lead
There is a friend that takes the blame
He is the Saviour of mankind
Unclean are we and full of shame
He goes before and we behind.
Let all I meet know I adore
And never know the wrong I did
May that dear one who goes before
Every wrong pardon---in him be hid.
T’is he the Lord shields from Gods wrath
He in that court is all my plea
God helping me he leads my path
When He and I in life agree.
When I so foolish broke Gods laws
In things I did and what I said
The Lord my Saviour owned my cause
And now I’m glad he goes ahead.
