Joy Bye And Bye

Oh, Jesus, I am glad I’m here,
Here, in this garden lone with Thee.
These glories are to me most dear
You suffered much on Calvery.

How I have longed to see this place
These beauties in this garden fair
To see the smile upon Thy face
And be forever free from care.

Oh Jesus, lover, God and Friend,
How could I ever cause Thee pain
Eternity with Thee I’d spend
And let Thy love to us explain.

My heart to thee in gusts I pour
So long I’ve yearned to have this view
And now indeed I see, adore,
My Lord, My God the One most true.

Grant me my Saviour one thing more
When I with Thee in gardens wend
Give me my loved ones on this shore
Then shall my pleasures never end.
