Jesus And The Children

Lambs who are pushed and o’ft misfed,
Come sit at Jesus feet.
A special feast today is spread,
Come mothers Jesus meet.

It is by grace this day He’s come,
Come forward and press near;
Timid and tho frolicksome,
Are all to Jesus dear.

From out the hovels of the poor,
Or from the wealthy rich;
No matter how much men ignore
They’r Gods no matter which.

Love overlooks the smudgie stain,
When children seek their king;
Let Jesus soothe each bruise and pain,
And comforts to them bring.

Upon their head He’ll place His hand,
And bless them e’re they leave;
There is no caste in heaven land,
And love extends to Eve.

"And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein." Mark 10:13-15

"Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me." Mark 9:37
