[Julie Christman]
Julie -- Ready for Service
Julie Christman, recent graduate of Laurelbrook Academy in Dayton, TN was a classmate there of our oldest daughter Katie. At Katie's invitation Julie has decided to come to Guyana to assist my wife "Aunt Becky" with the many needs in Kaikan. There is medical work, teaching, youth work, children to work with, and older villagers to help. We are very grateful for Julie's willingness to share 6-months of her life with others before continuing her college studies.

Julie was born in Michigan, but spent her childhood in Brazil and Chile where her parents, Gerry and Ellen Christman, worked as missionaries. She also speaks Spanish and some Portuguese which should come in very handy in Kaikan which borders Venezuela and is close to the Brazilian border. You can expect to see some articles from her in the near future on our Web Page.

Thank you Julie for your willingness to come and help. May others learn from your example that anyone can serve God in making themselves available in loving service to others.

You may send E-mail to Julie at: gates@andrews.edu or GAMAS@solutions2000.net
