Dear family and friends,
BACK IN THE AIR AGAIN
I just received a phone call from Civil Aviation. Our flight permit has been renewed, and the flight permit for the Twin Navion
should be approved by next week. Praise the Lord!
BUILDING FINISHED / NEW ONE BEGINS CONSTRUCTION
Dedication of our first 2-story classroom building in Paruima (Davis Indian Industrial College) will be on Sabbath, June 13.
Ground-breaking for the new 2-story Religion Center/Library will be on the following Sabbath, the 20th. The Union Treasurer,
Roland Thomson, will be present for the ground breaking ceremony. He will be bringing Global Mission funds to assist in the
construction.
NET 98 / TV BROADCAST STATION ON THE WAY
Civil Aviation owns a very large tower next to the runway in Kamarang where they operate an aircraft navigation
beacon (NDB). They appear willing to allow us to lease a space on the tower where we can place a TV broadcast antenna.
We are proceeding with an application form. An appointment with the Prime Minister for the broadcast permit itself will take
place after the Prime Minister's wife makes her visit with me to the village of Arau where we have a joint relief effort in progress.
Please pray for continued open doors for the TV station. The downlink satellite equipment has already been purchased from
the Inter-american Division for Net 98. Perhaps this station was one of the many little dots of light EGW saw in vision covering
the world.
In His Service,
David Gates
