Dear Friends:

Last month when we were in Georgetown, we found a kitten. My family and I were walking home one day. As we walked past a gas station, we

heard a noise coming from a bush. It sounded like a cat. My mom said, "It's probably a cat-bird." I looked under the bush and saw a wet, dirty, nasty, greasy, grimy kitten. He must have fallen or been thrown into the dirty, polluted canal right by the bush. Somehow he managed to crawl out of it, even though the sides were straight up and down. Now he was meowing pitifully!

We took him home and washed him. It took about 5 washes to get him clean. Before we washed him, we could hardly even tell what color he was. When he was finally clean, we discovered that he was a beautiful, fluffy, yellow and white kitten. We named him Moses, since we rescued him from the water.

Moses got to fly in an airplane to Kaikan. We gave him to our neighbors. They really liked him, because he is the only yellow kitten in Kaikan. All the other cats are black and white, or gray. However, they changed his name to Moisy, because they thought it was sacreligious to call him Moses. Anyway, Moisy is very happy in his new home, even though Ginger, the dog, is always biting his tail!

Love,

Your friend Kara
