President's Message

Africa! "From Capetown to Cairo." From Kinshasa to Mombasa. From Algeria (A) to Zimbabwe/Zambia (Z). If you served in this great continent as a missionary or are the son or daughter of missionaries that "served", we solicit your participation in our fellowship.

Greetings! I have been asked to serve as President of F.A.M.A for another time. Barbara and I served in central and southern Africa. We lived in the Congo, Kenya, and Malawi. Our secretary, Barry Burton and Thelma served in Central Africa and lived in the Congo,  Rwanda and Burundi. Our treasurer, Dorothy Jean Salhany, (DJ) with her husband Phaize worked in southern Africa. They lived in Malawi and Zimbabwe.

Our organization was organized principally for fellowship, but what an inspiration our meetings have been. The recent one at Union College was great. There are many persons out there whose names and addresses we do not have. Please help Barry by sending him info on those that you may know about. Send information to barryburton@earthlink.net.

Our next meeting is due to be held on the west coast. Venue and dates will be announced later. At that meeting we would like to highlight the contributions of our medical missionaries. More about this later.

Africa still needs our support and prayers. "The Lord bless you and keep you." Maranatha!
