What sets a church apart from other churches? Is there anything that truly makes a church special? I first came to the Fall River church when I was invited to give a concert there. I am an Adventist, but I had never been to this church. I came to a service prior to the date of the concert, and was warmly welcomed. Soon after, I gave my small concert, and was surprised by the large number of enthusiastic people that came, considering that few of them knew me well. Soon after, as a pianist, I started participating in the choir practices. I thoroughly enjoyed the informal singing that accompanies a formal practice sometimes. And the fun continues to this date. Maybe we don't sing well, but it is a great way to spend a Sabbath afternoon. Oftentimes, I would eat at the fellowship dinner, then go back upstairs to the piano, and start to play. And then some friends would come around, and we would start singing. This inspired a song, the lyrics for which are below. I can say that I was truly welcomed into this church. And now, I regularly attend it. I have come to know many of the attendees well, and I count them as good friends. In a short period of time, we have enjoyed many things together. From knocking on doors, to going out after Sabbath, this church is a place for good fellowship. I can trace some of most signifigant events in my life to my attendance and association with this body of believers. There is something special here. And you are always welcome to come.
