Sabbath
School
Each
Saturday, Sabbath, at 9:30 a.m. the Children's Divisions of the Church:
Pre-cradle Roll, Cradle Roll, Kindergarten, Primary, Juniors, Earliteens,
and Youth meet for an exciting time in their Sabbath School Rooms. Children
learn to sing and prayer, study the Bible and play Bible games, but most
of all they learn about Jesus and how to accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
Parents are welcome to accompany their children. We are family friendly!
Classes last one hour, until 10:30 a.m., at which time the families go
to the sanctuary for Family Time before the Worship Service.
Children's
Church
Periodically throughout the year a special Children’s
Church is arranged for children from three through twelve years of age.
This provides an unforgettable spiritual learning experience for them.
The 80-100 children who attend enjoy it greatly. The leaders are talented
and love children. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.
Please watch the Calendar of Events for the next scheduled Children’s
Church.
Vacation
Bible School
Each summer an exciting Vacation Bible School is held for
the children from the age of three through 12. Please watch the Calendar
of Events for the dates.
Adventurer
Club
English Oaks Seventh-day Adventist Church operates an Adventurer
Club, together with the other Seventh-day Adventist churches of the area.
Below you will find some of the information concerning this club. For
more information, please contact the Church Office at 209-369-1021.
The Adventurer curriculum
is organized around the four basic relationships in a child's life:
my God, my self, my family, my world.
The Adventurer curriculum
is divided into four levels. The Busy Bee level is designed for first-graders;
the Sunbeam level for second-graders; the Builder for third-graders;
and the Helping Hand level for fourth-graders. Each level builds on
the levels which came before it and is especially designed to interest,
challenge, and provide successful experiences for children of that
grade level. Additional classroom resources available.
The goal of teaching
Adventurer awards is to help each child experience achievement and
to learn new activities and ideas in an interesting and fun way.
Adventuring involves
the whole family. The program aims to strengthen the parent/child relationship
as well as to further the child's development in spiritual, physical,
mental, and social areas. |
