ILLINOIS CAMP MEETING
Please join us at Illinois camp meeting this year.
The theme for the Illinois Conference Camp Meetings this year is “Touched by His Words”.  There are two Camp Meetings being planned.  The first, the Northern Camp Meeting, will take place at the College of DuPage on May 17.  It will be a day packed full of superlative events which you will not want to miss.  Pack you family and a picnic into the van and plan to spend the day.  The week-long Family Camp Meeting will take place at Camp Akita from June 15 – 21.  This Camp Meeting will be better than last year’s – consider taking a week out of your busy schedules and retreating to this wonderful camp set in the rolling hills near Galesburg to feast on the Word of God.

Chosen Garment – Come and enjoy a dramatic presentation at Camp Meeting by Steven Mosley which will take you on a whirlwind tour of the Bible that is deeply moving.  Scripture becomes a breathtaking epic, highlighted by the garments of patriarch, prophet and king.  It comes to a climax in the Chosen Garment of Christ laid on our shoulders.  This presentation will be held at both the College of DuPage, on May 17 at 9:30 am and Camp Akita on June 21 at 9:30 am.  Come early and praise in song before the program begins.

Choir and Testimony Festival – This wonderful time of praise will be taking place at the Northern Camp Meeting on May 17 at the College of DuPage at 2:30 pm.  Don’t miss it!  There will be songs from many of our churches plus you will hear fresh testimonies of new believers who have been touched for Jesus in the past year.

Prayer Warrior Seminar – In this seminar, by Ron Halvorsen Sr., you will learn how to prevail with God, to wrestle with Him in prayer; you will learn the science of prayer—the laws of praying that, when followed, bring unprecedented power into your spiritual life. You will learn that your prayers alone—just yours—can make an eternal and decisive difference in your life and the lives of others. This seminar will take place at 4:45 pm on Sabbath May 17, at the College of DuPage at the Northern Camp Meeting.

WILL CONGRESS PROTECT SABBATH KEEPERS?
We are currently in delicate negotiations over the Workplace Religious Freedom Act, a bill designed to ensure that all people of faith-including Sabbath keepers-are treated fairly in the workplace. This is a very time-consuming and very difficult process. We would sincerely appreciate your prayers for wisdom, for patience, and for ultimate success in passing this vital bill.

Far too many faithful men and women are being demeaned, demoted and dismissed for no crime other than keeping the Ten Commandments. Some days the obstacles to doing anything about it seem insurmountable. But we know that with God, all things are possible. Please uphold our team in prayer as we strive at this critical juncture to advance the cause of religious liberty entrusted to us by God. If you still have not contacted your representative in Congress about this very important bill, please click here. It will only take a few minutes.

Links to the full written testimony, an audio of the hearing, and an Adventist Review Article with video of our testimony embedded are all located under the heading in red "Workplace Religious Freedom Act Congressional Hearing" located half way down the following page: http://www.religiousliberty.info/article.php?id=4
