North Bahamas Mission

Eight Mile Rock Church is one the churches in the North Bahamas Mission of Seventh-day Adventists,  covering the islands and cays of Abaco, Berry Islands, Bimini and Grand Bahama. Our desire is to create healthy churches that impact their communities physically, socially, and spiritually, and aid in your journey toward a lasting relationship with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The Women's Ministry department of the Eight Mile Rock Church under the theme "Sisters United Lifting Each Other As We Climb" experienced a higher calling through the gathering of a prayer and testimonial time on January 29th, 2006.  Guest speakers Mrs. Desiree Forbes and Mrs. Jordin admonished the ladies through the word of God by presentation on "Breaking the Barrier of Discord" and "How to Love who has Hurt You" respectively.

The Membership of the Eight Mile Rock Church in a Business Session sanctioned the future outlook for the church in the community of Eight Mile Rock, through the medium of Small Groups Ministry.  Pastor Ricardo V. Bain made a powerful presentation illustrating the concept of outreach to persons in the community, acquaintances, family and friends as special guest to the Small Group meeting.  The Seven Groups would meet at member homes with a structured outline program from the Pastor once a week for the next seven weeks.  On the completion of the seven week then all the special guests of the groups will be invited to a special service and through the leading of the Holy Spirit we expect that the fruits of our labour will be revealed.
